Been smoking E-lites for 6 months or so now and want to make the switch to buying bottles of liquid. Is this a reasonable starter kit?

Black CE4 eGo v2 - Tobacco - 650mAh Single Kit
http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=180

Or are there better options for my money?

It comes with 10 mL of liquid. I know this is a subjective question, but how does that compare to the cartridges in an E-lite for example (that normally last me a day and a half).

Going to be buying two of these for the myself and the wife so I don't want to go over the top on cost in case we don't like them.

This is a better starter pack, http://myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.html
u get 2 batteries, 2 tanks and 5 replaceable heads all for £29.
U can also get juice on that site, but i have never bought juice off them so i cant say if they good.
10ml of juice should last u at least 3-4 days, an average vaper uses about 3ml per day.
Joosejuice is good for juices, and has a buy one get one free offer

Jack Bauer, Better kit, 2 bigger batteries and 2 tanks plus usb charger with mains plug. Started the wife off on this kit.

Alternative Evod kit. Still has 2 batteries but lower mah. 5 spare coils too.

***Edit*** Beaten to it. Took too long looking around after starting my post.

Cheers for all the help. I will look at those sites and pick one. May be back with more questions.

and as far as I can see Jack is above the law so I think I am good. :D

After microcoiling for a while now and trying various resistance and diameter sizes, I have settled for 1.2ohms 1.5mm diameter on the Kayfun/Russian. It's the best for not zapping my batteries too much whilst providing near enough instant vapour when pressing the button.

Damn Yas786 just saw your selling the Rose already lol

If you straight swap it for a nahual 16mm I'll buy the nahual of you.

LOL u saw the ad??, yeh i now get what you were saying about how fiddly it is, its a nice atty but too much headache for me.

At the moment im selling it so not looking at any trades or anything at the moment.

Makes me laugh that the guy who created the rose atty is getting all butthurt because some people arent getting on with it lol. Truth is the KFL is a doddle to set up compared to the rose imho.

Already sold lol, £110..didnt last very long lol.

Careful there are vaper spies everywhere and speedfreek visits ocuk. The Kayfun is an excellent Atty and comparing it to the Rose is a compliment. It's unfortunate you didn't get on with it but I'm happy you sold it. Things can get hyped in the vaping game just like in the GPU market but unless you try it you'll never know the truth or have your own opinion.

That RayRay bloke wanted to sell his the next day iirc and was persuaded not to. Knowing him it will be back on the market soon again.

Going back to the Kayfun, it is in my mind the best rba. It looks smart; gives a consistent vape; easy to build and use; can use any drip tip; adjustable centre pin and air control with the plus; customizable with mega or nano kits; tank doesn't crack with snake oil and can come in various colours and parts are cheap to come by. It has a hell of a lot going for it hence why it is a favourite among many. In addition dual coils are possible with it too if you want to sub ohm. Different strokes for different folks.

So im after some new kit as im fed up of my leaky Evod. Have thought of a mini protank. Whats your opinions?

Since they use pretty much exactly the same heads, I don't think you're going to get a better experience with the Protank 2 over the Evod.
I recently purchased (and put up a small review - check back a couple of pages) the new Aspire BDC (Bottom Dual Coil). It's being hailed as the poor man's Kayfun Lite and I am inclined to agree. Obviously it's not *as* rebuildable (read; not really rebuildable - it's incredibly fiddly, but not impossible, to fit two tiny coils and sufficient wick into such a compact head) as the KFL, but for just over a tenner delivered for the Atty and 3 heads (1.8ohm) it's excellent value.

I bought the Pyrex Vivi Nova version in SS (which I reviewed and think looks better on an EGO-T battery) from here: www.kernowvapes.co.uk/Aspire_vivi_nova-s_BDC/p2086842_11019142.aspx
for £9.49 (pay the smaller p&p fee and Gary will ditch the box, but you'll still get the insert and 3 replacement heads, or if you want the box it's £3 p&p)

If you want the Glassomizer Davide-S version (looks like the ProTank 2):
www.vapercaper.co.uk/collections/atomisers/products/aspire-bdc-replacement-heads
for £17.49 (free delivery and 10% discount with NEWCUSTOMER or UKV10)

5 pack of replacement heads (1.8 or 2.1ohm) for £8.49 (before discount) plus free delivery (cheapest I can find, especially when then use the NEWCUSTOMER or UKV10 10% off code) here: www.vapercaper.co.uk/collections/atomisers/products/aspire-bdc-replacement-heads

I can highly recommend the Aspire BDC - I bought the Vivi Nova version as it was the cheapest (non CE4 type), just in case it was another overly hyped up device - but for zero faff, just plonking on the end of an Ego, it's perfect.

I do think I'll go for the Davide-S version next, if only so it doesn't look so daft on my larger mods.

After doing this vaping thing now for about a week I have found it is quite a pain in the a**e! after lots of fiddling about I found that 50/50 vgpg with one wick removed from the protank works well....

Its still not the same every time though but better than it was.... I think I am going to find one PG/VG mix that I am happy with and stick to it, to me PG seems to leave a bad aftertaste and dry out my tongue quickly, but then switching juices with different PG/VG I will have to take the thing apart, add / remove wicks, clean it etc. Not exactly "plug and play" is it!

Also richer liquids such as tobacco or caramel will then pretty much permanently make that atomiser taste of caramel / tobacco so I will have to use a separate atomiser for those flavours! Not sure if I need to get a VV battery as well TBH.... I am starting to see why people spend so much time / money tweaking PVD's.... Not as simple as I thought it would be! Sometimes I get a really nice toke which has loads of flavour and vapour, half the time it is just sort of crappy tasting.... Quite annoying tbh

Thanks for the feedback. Ive ordered me a VTR which comes with an iclear 30s so hopefully I should be happier with this. Anyone else got one?

I personally have no issues with my ROSE -

The only reason I had issues with dual coiling was because im not use to the twisting of coil ends etc.

However I find it very simple to change the coils on the Rose and it works like a charm.

Unscrew the top remove unscrew coil remove put in premade knew one into the slots boosh done.

Once you get use to the length the legs need to be you dont evne need to take the cup out.

I found out another trick for the protank 2.....

The little rubber seal that covers the wicks, flip it around....

Doing this combined with removing one of the flavour wicks makes the flavour production about twice as good.... No burnt taste and no leaking either....

Think I might try changing the flavour wicks for some cotton next, but I am not sure what cotton to use?

Anyway removing one of the wicks and flipping the rubber seal made a massive difference...
