Good afternoon,

I bought a 'OcUK ATI Radeon 6950 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card' in September 2011 for my rig and it's been running fine since then, however I'm now considering an upgrade/addition to beef it up a step further.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a suitable upgrade for under £200-300?

For bonus points (and appreciation) does anyone know if I'd have trouble adding a non-6900 series card in for crossfire, or is it better to just buy a matching set if I'm to go down that road?

My current rig is as follows:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (CPU)
ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 (Motherboard)
Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 (PSU)

280x all day long, twice as fast and sits in budget nicely.

That or find another £20 or so and go for a 290 pro.

Is it really £20 diff? Haven't looked at prices tbh, don't want to tease myself :p If you have the stock blower cooler on the 6950, the 290 Pro will not be much different in noise profile and miles and miles faster

I meant £20 or so above his top line budget of £300 :p
