Walking Dead - I feel like crying

Put up with it up to now but season 3 and 4 are just zzzzzzzz

I haven't watched any of Season 4 yet but S3 was just a snooze fest and painful at times.

I was hoping for a pace change in S4 but from this post it looks like the writers are having none of it. Should I even bother?

I wish they would take it up a level, rick's son being eaten infront of his family, be nice to see them move into a city, lake, sea etc, just to liven it up, sick of the prison now.

mavity Falls and Phineous and Ferb are the best shows on TV!
the adventures of billy and mandy have some great eps as well :D

I used to watch them when I had a little one and always found it awesome how they have so much jokes/camoes only adult's would get.

such as

full metal jacket guy :D

I must be the only one the loves watching it. Better than most of the other **** being shown on TV lately.

I hate this thread. This thread made me have epic expectations for the final episode of series 3. I thought **** was about to get *real*. I thought interesting characters were going to die. Maybe *everyone* was going to die.

I AM SO DISAPPOINTED RIGHT NOW.

It's so bad we turned to discussing cartoons instead

anyway we know who's going to die it's always the black guy

The biggest problem for TWD is there's there no where for them to go, no end goal. Season 1 was great because they were working towards something. But now it's just a survival show with Zombies thrown in.

What i would have have done is thrown a 'magic' destination where they're free of Zombies to give the survivors hope. But put loads of obstacles in the way.

Just an Example. Island of Alcatraz, but have to contend with a city full of Zombies to pass before getting to it.

Or go North to Canada etc

Also having it so that everyone is already infected and that when someone dies they turn, kills any hope in the show, all for one shock scene in season 2. So now it's just depressing to watch as there's no hope or rebuilding society and we already know that it's all going to end sadly for everyone.

you do know it's based on the comic......right?

Its kind of based on the comic... Hardly anything alike.

Read another 12 issues this morning and i can say the comics are 1000000000000x better than the tv series. I get to the end page of an issue and im like  , NEXT ISSUE!

For one Tyrese is in the comics straight away and is coupled up with Carol. Tyrese and Rick are very close in the comics. Dale (RV man) is coupled up with Andrea. Hershal also goes through a hell of a lot of **** in the comics. So much different and loads more better.

They ain't completely dumb in the comics either and think things out properly. You know where you re watching the TV series and just want to turn it off with how dumb they go about things, it doesn't happen in the comics.

Forget the TV show and start reading the comics.

The dumbest thing ever about this show is that even though they know that if a person dies they will turn, yet in the prison they go to sleep with everyones cell doors open. I mean how stupid are they all? I mean if one person died in their sleep, they could potentially wipe them all out, whereas all they need to do is shut their cell doors and problem is easily solved, the chances of a zombie getting through 2 shut cell doors would be zero.

Personally if I was in charge everyone would have a set time they had to be in their cell by at night and one person would be responsible for checking they were all shut before going to sleep.

If a person didn't shut theirs they would be somehow punished for doing so, like having to do extra chores, etc, so it would ensure they complied with this simple rule for the safety of everyone.

Another rule would be that everyone keeps a weapon in their cell 24/7 and is not to be removed from the cell, so should zombies manage to get in, they can slowly kill them one at a time to get away safely and people would know where to go to get a weapon, etc.

Obviously with there being kids, said weapon wouldn't be a gun but a spear type weapon, and it would be placed out of reach, etc.

Me personally though I would lock my cell every night using rope or a chain, etc so I knew it was safe to sleep.

**There be spoilers here***

One thing that really narked me off about Season 3 was how one minute they'd be crack shots (vs zombies), then the next turn into Storm Troopers (vs each other).

In one episode, the Governor's faction opens up by shooting a guy in the forehead. One shot, one kill. They then spend then next 10 minutes failing to shoot anyone (except the corpse of the dead guy).

In one episode Darryl was standing upright with no cover, and there were 3 or 4 people shooting at him. Not even a scratch.

It's like they're channelling the spirit of the A-Team.

And you can no longer suspend disbelief because you know there is no reason except to keep the main characters alive.

It would have been better for them to find less ammunition, explain how they were nearly out, and why this was a good reason not to get into firefights.

Oh and why didn't they bust out the grenade launchers and RPG's the first time they attacked? Why wait till they'd suffered a large amount of casualties?
