I've just ordered a 64GB model (wasn't too bothered about Office as I've got a 365 sub) with stylus so hopefully should be here mid December (ship date of the 6th).

Can anyone recommend a case for it that will accommodate a keyboard please? Ideally a folio type case that'll stand on itself (asking a lot, I know :p)

One of my orders is due to arrive tomorrow apparently.

But its the one I cancelled to order the better one :(

Dell had to dispatch it, then return it rather then just stop it leaving the factory.

EDIT: Dug out an old order and found the delivery tracking site. The order I want is also due tomorrow. :D

When did you order yours? Mine is saying estimated dispatch 18/12/13

I ordered on the 22nd Nov.

My official tracking is still showing as in production. But I received an email giving me a Planned delivery date.

Think dell charge £24 to send the tablet back an you lose another £24 off the tablet refund payment that's for postage when they sent it to you so total £48 lost can see why dell make it hard to cancel an order even if its not due to be delivered for weeks.

I'm tempted to offload my Kindle and put the money towards one of these as a straight replacement. Very tempting price. I'd be interested to know how quickly (or slowly) these things charge up.

A couple of weeks in and I can honestly say it's the best £200 I've spent on technology in a long, long time - my Surface RT hasn't been switched on since the Venue Pro 8 turned up.

Don't get me wrong, it's a lightweight companion device, not a substitute for a full sized tablet or PC, but for lightweight productivity and consumption of media (video, music, kindle, web, email etc) it's excellent. just don't be tempted to go for all the accessories, keyboard, big folio cases etc. that forces it to be something it's not and it stops being a slim attractive light "full" windows tablet and get's turned into a very poor laptop.

Love it - it's one of those things where when you use it all of a sudden Windows 8.1 starts to make sense and you can see the potential for where it's going.

Did you actually get it for £200 or was that £200 + delivery + VAT?

At £200 it's a drunken impulse buy this Friday night when I get back from the pub. At £262 it's harder to justify and not to cancel the following morning with buyers regret.

I had a friend visiting the states so I got it ordered and delivered to his hotel, it worked out at £210.
