Going to see a gig in Manchester on Saturday and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a place not too far from the M.E.N for food. Ideally looking for a good steakhouse without being too pricy but open to options really not knowing Manchester at all.

Probably get more answers in 'La Cuisine' but I like Smoak at the Malmaison, Lust, Liquor & Burn Southern 11 and also Solita.

If you're after a steak I wouldn't go to Bem Brasil.
Sure, you'll get a lot of meat there but it won't be a nice big steak.
For a reasonably priced steak I'd be looking at something like this:

Im going to see A7X there too (treat for the missus), see you there. 
As for meal suggestions, we've been to the Blackhouse in Leeds and it was lovely, not too pricey for a good steak house. Well worth it..
We're going Hard rock as she loves the margaritas there...

If you like your meat and want something different, try out Armenian taverna. Its one of the hidden gems of Manchester, right next to the town hall but with a tiny, unassuming entrance. Go for the Armenian banquet and experience the most amazing starting platter ever.
