I have bought the Razer Naga 2014 from overclockersuk and I am just wondering if its normal/okay to leave this small cable issue I am having with the Naga. it looks like the cable is straight if you look at it but if you run your finger down it you can feel a small bump(only one). Now I am just wondering if that is something I should be alarmed about? its really small but I am just curious, I have tryed to straighten it out and it just goes back to having a little bump. Should I be alarmed? and is me trying to straighten it even a good idea? like can I reduce the life of the mouse by faffing around with the cable?

Any help will help :)

5/5 btw to anyone who asks about the performance because it works fine I am just curious as to if I should be alarmed by this.

I don't think it's anything to worry about. May just be a blip with the wrap under the braiding. As long as the performance is fine. Don't think Mice get tumours

Yeahh it dips in then goes up again and its really not a big dip so I guess its okay :D thanks for the reply I was just making sure! hehe would you say this is common?

if the bump in the wire is causing the mouse to drag and twist on itself or the mouse pointer to behave juddery then return it, otherwise I can't see how a small bump will affect performance of the mouse.

Not really but you can send an email and pic of your bump to Razer. They tend to be ok with the little things, worst comes to worst, you have to live with a slight bump in the cable :)

Ohh okay well thanks guys :D I just thought over time it may effect performance but okay I guess small bump is nothing :) thanks guys, and if you have anything else to tell me, dont hesitate to let me know (y)

So overall you guys are saying there is nothing wrong with the mouse and its not going to harm the life of the mouse as it is? I just need to leave it alone??

like in general is the little dip in the wire going to actually effect the wire long term? surely you guys will know if it will im just super curious.. razer tell me its not how they made it to be so long term is may effect it? I have no idea..

Contrary to popular belief, the whole forum is not here solely to answer your question! 5 bumps in 4 hours has to be some sort of record. Are you just trying to get your post count up?!

Either way, a slight imperfection in the shape of the cable braid will not affect the performance or longevity of the cable. I'd wager there's a normal pvc sheath under the fancy braid anyhow.

Sorry abbotsmike I'm pretty impatient and yeah sorry im used to instant reply forums haha xD thanks anyway dude. In the long run I didn't know if the imperfection would have effected it or not

Hasn't this already been answered, though? This 'bump' in the cable does not seem particularly dramatic, and you say it isn't affecting performance. If it does affect performance in the future - well, that's what warranties are for.
