I have a sad story to tell...

Unfortunately my trusty remington barba has stopped functioning properly in the USA, clearly because the power supply only handles 210-220V and not the 120V they have here... I left it charging for 2 days it charges up by like 1% and then dies in my hands after 10 seconds :(:(

During which I can clearly hear my trusty old friend making its final roar before grinding to a halt.

I looked at well known auction site where I hoped to find a US power supply for the model... They want 15$ for it... haha no.

I bought this beast for 13 pounds, I aint paying 15 dollars for damn power plug.

Neither am I prepared to buy it brand new, US style for 40 bucks....

So guys I need your help, what replacement should I get??

I already owned the I-Stubble, we did not get along at all.... I thought about getting Remington MB4550, but the poor reviews have strayed me away from this machine.

So now I am thinking about getting Philips Norelco QT4070, but have come to glorious GD for an approval.

what was wrong with the I stubble? find it pretty good myself altho only recently bought it

Having both I can say the barba is somewhat superior, i-stubble tends to dull somewhat quicker though I still find it useful.

Honestly I'd pay the $15 just to use something your happy with the results of rather than mess around trying to do it cheap and getting worse results.

Thing is, I am not sure our UK barba will accept the US plug....

Loved the story.

I got the Philips noreclo for 30 odd quid... It is a nice lil thing, something between Barba and I-Stubble but with vacuum, which is nice but the hair storage compartment wont be able to hold much by the looks of it. At least whole bathroom isnt covered in hair anymore.
