*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Surely people who no longer want their PS4's are better sticking them on Ebay for a small profit rather than selling them here on MM?

I think that sticking them on MM here for no profit is the RIGHT thing to do - but does it make good business sense throwing away a clear profit making opportunity?

Or cancelling them so that people that do want one can get one?

Why? FIFA, COD, BF4, Killzone is enough to ship that many units. I bought a PS4 for those games myself not interested in the launch exclusives on either platform
Indeed, its not like 90% of the games over the whole generation are going to be exclusives, more the other way round so timing the console release with the biggest multiplats seems more than acceptable. Actually I dont understand people logic unless they want to convince me that theyll only be buying exclusives for the whole gen then that attitude makes more sense...

Its a shame DC got delayed, but its looks far far better for it

Money has come out of my account today. Ordered via Game using paypal so was starting to fret.

However, I didn't order until about 6 weeks ago and was told I wouldn't get a day one release PS4, but I've got a sneaking feeling I actually will now if the money has gone out today, no???

Again - the right thing to do - but let's face it - there's a clear profit making opportunity here - I commend the people doing the right thing but man it must be hard to resist not sticking them on the bay and making a good £100 clear profit?

Any movement on anyone's Amazon orders? Checked my bank account this morning and they haven't taken any monieeees.

Not really, I remember when Ive been stuck hoping to get something and by luck I have - most of those times would have been because someone else gave that item up rather than decided to scalp people for it...

if people are desperate enough to buy them above retail if they sell out in shops, then thats their choice, if i could afford to buy 3-4 consoles knowing i could sell them on for a profit i would do it. Its how any shop selling anything works, they buy cheaper and sell more expensive to the public.

Doing that if you bought one console that you decided you didn't want is fine imo. Buying several consoles with the sole intention to make money just means you're a douche bag. It's like ticket touting.

No, they sell at rrp. You're confusing ripoff and retail.

I am quite pleased with Tesco and Zavvi thus far. Both have emailed me saying I will be getting my PS4 on release day, despite ordering them in mid November. Even Gamestop have now emailed me saying my blue Dualshock 4 will be here on Friday!

It seems to be Amazon being useless, as they are saying that the mega bundle I had ordered off them will not arrive before christmas, despite it clearly not stating that on the product page when I ordered.

Hopefully Tesco and Zavvi will deliver on time so I can make a little profit from putting one on Ebay :D

is it recommended retail price, or an actual set retail? i would really like to agree with you, but at the end of the day its down to the public if they feel they want to pay extra, no one is forcing them to, if they wanted one they should have pre-ordered them like the rest of us, no reason not to when payment is not taken and you can cancel if you change your mind!

Had my despatch email from game yesterday but bit confused over the pricing, I opted for the game killzone exclusive bundle for £399,99 but I assumed it would be £379 with my £20 deposit taken off but it seems it was £419,99 overall plus they've added £4.95 delivery!
