Official 2013 Amazon Black Friday deal thread - NO COMPETITOR PRODUCTS TO BE DISCUSSED

I went for the Soundmagic PL11's yesterday, whacked the button as soon as the screen changed and it went into my basket but at full price, mucked about at checkout for a bit but it wouldn't go down. I had to revert back to the main screen but they'd all gone.

Luckily I went into the wait list and got a set at the proper price 10 minutes later.

Might go for the Skyrim if it's a good deal later.

The UE4000s I ordered yetserday were at promo price til I checked out.
Then the email said I'd paid full price!
Explained to amazon live chat, they honored the price!

The DVD is £11.49

Yeh, turns out they were right! They got the price right on the Movie Edit Pro as well!

Can't see any future prices anymore now however. Wonder when they update the list...

EDIT: Turns out this link updates with prices 5 minutes before they go live on Amazon. Gives you an extra 4 minutes to do your research to see if it's worth hammering F5 for the deal to load!!

I'm still seeing prices about 6 minutes before they go live, which is really useful!

Shame the amazon website itself is still being a pain with the loading issue

Anyone used that radiator shielding stuff? Does it work and save more than it costs?

ps3ud0

I got a pack free on an MSE offer some time a year or so ago....

Installation is a case of hanging it behind your radiator, with our radiators it's impossible to cover the whole thing because the radiators are attached to the wall a third of the way down - so nothing above that is covered. They are also quite close to the middle so I had to cut it in to three bits for each radiator and balance them quite carefully. I don't think I quite got the coverage they suggested out of it either - only did two and a half radiators, but I can't remember how big the pack was.

I have no idea how well it actually works - our boiler was broken at the time and then replaced with a new one, I don't think I would pay the currently listed price for it though! I would think cavity wall insulation is a better money saver (got that one free on one of those schemes) if it was an option between the two

Got me the B&D car vac & the punch bag. Got my dad that DAB radio and my sister the LFC umbrella (she's at pretty much every one of their home games!) - good shopping so far today :)
