Have you ever won anything?

Easter bonnet thing in school

  • Loads of medals and trophy for Karate (highlights being gold in European championships in holland, a British Grand Prix win, and Welsh open wins.. Too many to name)

There's probably more. My mum used to enter me in to everything in the local paper, so there's a scrap book of all the cuttings :D

I won Rockbusters on Xfm. S2E10 I think. Won a load of DJ booth tat and an unsigned copy of The Office. Cheers Rick.

£90 on a scratch card, last few quid too and on a saturday night. Had it blown within a few hours.

TV and Sky box on my first overtime working at sky, was probably the most hated person in work that week!

Although I have never won anything of great value, I have won a few odds and sods over the years, Posters, mugs and other small bits.

About the most interesting thing I have won is the side panel off Suicidal Tendencies, one of the competitors from Robot Wars.

I was told that the 4 holes were caused by Shut's axe.

Perhaps an abstract answer... but we all won life.

Out of all the trillions and trillions of eggs and sperm that could ever have lived but weren't fertilised and simply faded away, it is only us few, past and present that ever got a chance at life. I see that as a pretty big win.

£15,000 (ish it was progressive) jackpot on the willhill rags to riches fruit machine, cost me £10,000 to get it though, late night gambling was always a bad idea when I used to drink!

Won a few thousand in poker tournies, roulette, dice etc.. but again I probably lost more in the the long run, but I never gambled what I couldn't afford to comfortably lose (there's a very wise tip kids)

Just recently won a skiing holiday to Courchevel for guessing when the first snowfall would settle, I guess my birthday, I won

An Arcam hifi in Hifi-Choice magazine in the late 90's

4x£10s on the lotto since it started (although I know 6 people to have won a jackpot on it.. I guess that lowers my chances even further)

I won a competition on a website to write a dance music track in 2000 and won some cheapo gift card.

I won an ipod nano in a coke text instant win competition, it's got coca Cola engraved on it too.

Me and two friends split a £5 scratch card with some change and got £500 from it so won £166.

Apart from that £10 punt in an art competition in school and a flintstones the movie book.

I won a 16 GB Samsung Galaxy Note II in a prize draw from EnyoJS at a conference in San Francisco this past February. You had to be at the EnyoJS stand at 5pm that day for you to win the prize. My name was the fifth name to be called out, and the first four names were for people who weren't there at 5pm. I was given the prize and still use the phone to this day. :D

Some amazing wins in here!

I used to win a lot of raffles and lucky dip sort of things as a child. I don't know whether I was just so optimistic that I forgot about every time I didn't win, but I always used to say "please don't win, please don't win" and somehow nearly always did, hah!

I won a horse race at work, where you bet on a random old race that you'd never have seen. My horse was called Mr Odious. Absolutely superb.

£100 on a scratch card
Tickets to a jazz festival gig recently here in Vancouver
Some driving credit with ZipCar via a Twitter competition
I won a design competition at college and got some gift vouchers
Various medals as a kid for football, rugby, and go karting

Not much else that I can remember.

Won a PC in a timekeepers of the millennium tv competition. I had memorised the number so just phoned up whilst they were asking the question. Wouldn't surprise me if the competition was just first come first serve

around 1k on the late night roulette only to find when i tried to checkout that it was worth nothing as I played using the free £10 free bet.

I won a sonic comic (sonic the hedgehog comic) do not disturb door hanger :D

I remember my sister coloured the envelope red with a felt tip pen, perhaps it helped it stand out.
