Official 2013 Amazon Black Friday deal thread - NO COMPETITOR PRODUCTS TO BE DISCUSSED

Got the Frotto in my basket.

Very tempted. I wanted it to be <100 though given I'll need a ball head as well, and was willing to stretch to 120....

Retail on Amazon is a low this year of 159. So it's only £30 off as well...

I got a pack free on an MSE offer some time a year or so ago....

Installation is a case of hanging it behind your radiator, with our radiators it's impossible to cover the whole thing because the radiators are attached to the wall a third of the way down - so nothing above that is covered. They are also quite close to the middle so I had to cut it in to three bits for each radiator and balance them quite carefully. I don't think I quite got the coverage they suggested out of it either - only did two and a half radiators, but I can't remember how big the pack was.

I have no idea how well it actually works - our boiler was broken at the time and then replaced with a new one, I don't think I would pay the currently listed price for it though! I would think cavity wall insulation is a better money saver (got that one free on one of those schemes) if it was an option between the two
Cheers for the advice, yeah at the price I wouldnt consider it so hoping for a very good saving to try it - hopefully the coverage is accurate as I probably need it for a few but just noticed the double radiators in the reception rooms are atttached horizontally like yours :(
Use tin/kitchen foil, same idea!
Hehe, it is basically that - maybe with some insulating layer at the back...
They did a 3DS XL deal so hoping they might do a Wii U deal as well.

Might just get the mario bundle one straight from Nintendo though as that seems to work out at a pretty good price.
Well I might be tempted, hoping they might do a Mario bundle with it being out on Friday

Anyone used that radiator shielding stuff? Does it work and save more than it costs?

We have a stone house and the differance it makes is amazing.

We used B&Q own brand roll and did about 8 radiators for £8ish, cut to size and used some adhesive to stick it to the wall. :D

Missed out on the coffee machine earlier as the "loading" is still messing me around. Hoping that the Phillips clock works, been after one for a while.

Just seen on Amazon that a Wii U Lego City pack with Rayman Legends Bundle is due tomorrow at 9:15 am.

Is that likely to be the only deal for Wii U? Would prefer a cheap Super Mario/Luigi U pack.

I can't imagine that will be discounted by much but would be nice to see it down low!:D

I tried that, but it refreshed the image with the text ("Time remaining 0:00") rather than an Add to Basket button.

Ah well, managed to get the clock at least :)
Found it difficult myself too - it's quite poor how the whole thing works actually. It's unstructured and unnecessarily complex, not to mention buggy. Also, you seem to be still able to access the original pricing product page, in addition to the lightning pricing product page.

I have managed to buy a couple of things myself, but only because I failed on one item originally and had to figure out the best approach afterwards. Just FYI, I seemed to have more success by selecting the category my item was in, reducing the amount of items that require loading. 'Add to basket' seemed to appear faster that way.
