Hello folks,
My venerable HTC Sensation is coming to the end of its plan - I can upgrade on contract from December 23rd.
I'm looking for recommendations.
What I liked about the Sensation:Nice screen
Good responsiveness in-hand
Decent Wi-fi
Powerful enough to run most apps I tried on it
Gets decent signal most places
Battery easily lasts a full day
HTC Sense interface is nice, but not a deal breaker
What I didn't like:Bloody thing turns itself off at random (get it out of pocket and it's just off) - seriously aggravating over time. Has happened since day one - usually only a few times a month, but sometimes you'll get a day when it won't stay on for more than 5 minutes.
Starting to be a bit slow changing tasks
Wi-Fi is not dual band (just got a dual-band router, so could now use it)
Grinds to a halt when updating 'in the background'.
Web browsing can be a bit slow (better now I use Dolphin mini)
What I don't care about:
Bluetooth
Advanced gaming (I rarely go beyond match-3 type games to kill 5 minutes)
Suggestions for phones accessible through Vodafone contract or off-contract with a one-off price of £200 or less would be ideal.
I'm sure I'd love the HTC One but I doubt Vodafone will give me that so cheap.
