Experience fluid gameplay free from motion blur with the gaming industry’s first 240 Hz monitor. EIZO’s Turbo 240 converts 120 Hz input signals to 240 Hz for a refresh rate double that of conventional gaming monitors so you can enjoy the smoothest motion display yet for first-person shooter, racing, and other fast-action genres.

Input lag, or the time it takes for commands from a keyboard, mouse, or controller to appear on the screen, can be the difference between hitting your target and missing it. EIZO developed its own integrated circuit to ensure your commands appear onscreen without delay.

Play like the pros with gaming presets from pro gamers such as Counter-Strike legend Patrik “cArn” Sättermon and Dota 2 player Johan “n0tail” Sundstein. Use the bundled software, ScreenManager Pro for Gaming, to download these and other presets from gaming.eizo.com or to export your own presets.

The FORIS FG2421 uses a new VA (vertical alignment) panel with a native contrast ratio of 5000:1. This is 5 times more than what other gaming monitors offer and increases the visibility in dark scenes so you can spot enemies more quickly.

The rear cabinet design features an LED backlit EIZO logo on a glossy surface surrounded by a vermillion frame. The logo glows brilliantly in a dimly-lit room or in a tournament setting. The front cabinet has a simple design so you can focus on the screen.

EIZO’s five-year warranty is two years or 67% longer than the standard three-year warranty of most brands.

They're fairly new so would expect some price drops... Should sell like hot cakes too :D

Now if only they did a 2650x1440 model ;)

Review quotes it selling at £444, not sure who's right! (Not interested in buying, just fancied a read) :p

We pre-sold some at this price.

Right now Eizo can't confirm if they can deliver more, so if worse is they cannot until next year, price stay high, if they can deliver more I can do some deals. ;)

D'oh. Was looking forward to buying one of these from you guys but that extra £55 is putting me off of the monitor now. :/

I've knocked £50 off, shall hold that until Friday or until Eizo notify me if they can get me more this year or not.

Wait for website to update the price to £449.99 before ordering. :)

Yea you do not even know if there will be 120HZ Gsync VA it could be Viewsonic TN crap for a whole year. This is honestly the first monitor im considering since my 2007 dell almost 8 years ago or more. Is the blur gone then?

The first gsync will be TN in the vg248, its then supposed to filter down to all other panels.

So does this support 3dvision, if so, at 120hz?

I don't think Hz is quite there yet up with the "gimmicks" because there is benefit of 120Hz over 60Hz, but eventually it'll turn like mice with DPI, where after a certain point it's completely irrelevant and anything higher is just used to hike the price up to an insane amount of money for no real benefit with the dreaded "Gaming" tag slapped on it.

This. I would suggest 5/10 people could not tell the difference between constant 120 and 60 fps. Not sure someone could tell 240 vs 120. And please don't that that bloody Pilots test!

I am happy to be proven wrong but 240Hz is a huge gimmick

Great price though Gibbo!!

The 240Hz isn't just a gimmick. The monitor can be run at 240Hz to reduce motion blur by inserting a black frame every other frame which is one of the features that make this monitor stand out.

Its wrong to look at these as 240Hz panels really (not saying its wrong to advertise them as that but its the wrong aspect to be putting value on)- whats important to keep in mind is that these are VA not TN panels and capable of being driven from a 120Hz signal and reproducing far more than 60Hz on screen without having to compromise all the way to TN image quality.

240hz? I can't run a lot of games on 120 let alone 240

One of the things these monitors do is take a 120Hz signal then insert extra frames (to make "240Hz") that force the pixel changes to be much faster than normal so you get a far sharper image while still gaining the benefits of 120Hz.
