*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Mobile network O2 is offering launch day stock of the PS4 at 65 of its UK stores.

Eurogamer reports that the console is available as part of a bundle including a Sony Xperia Z1 handset, a copy of Killzone Shadow Fall and 12 months access to PlayStation plus.

There is a catch of course, you'll need to go on the O2 Refresh tariff, with prices starting at £89.99 up front and a £52.99 per month of the contract or £129.99 up front and a £46.99 a month.

You will be allowed to pay for the hardware upfront, although you'll still be tied to a contract.

“Our bundle brings together the best of gaming and mobile this Christmas,” O2 UK’s GM of devices David Johnson stated. “We know our customers love to play and now they can enjoy brilliant gaming with O2, whether they’re at home or on the go. And with our O2 Refresh tariffs getting into the game is cheaper than ever before.”

wow

my shopto order is still in 'processing' and currys have emailed me saying i wont be getting destiny for £34.99 cos of the code. did other people have their code honoured?

Amazon have charged me and mines says Preparing for Dispatch. Might play some Forza 5 now :)
What delivery type do you have out of interest? Also what bundle did you get? Trying to work out if it depends on delivery type when you get these despatch notices...

ps3ud0

Wouldn't people be better off getting a 2TB HDD than a 1TB SSHD? from my understanding there's only a few seconds difference in boot up.

Delivery Option:
Expedited

I originally had just the console but got it upgraded to the Killzone one.

I did take the 30 day trial for Prime out other day on another item I had delivered but not sure if it will be taken in to account for this .

Genuinely surprised at the amount of people getting a SSHD...

well if ms didnt have the silly void your warranty if you change your hard drive rule for the tvbox1 you would probably faint with surprise@how many ppl would be getting ssd/sshd.....especially with the 1min+cold boot times

really? the forums we are on would imply that we aim for a slightly more speed required approach to most of the hardware we get.

and with the following comparison 1, Comparison 2 to show what appears with the limited tests available that at the present sshd seem best bang for the buck. I am more surprised given the nature of the forum and the extent some people on here go to that I haven't seen many people going full ssd

i think if you have first class it will be dispatched today, expedited will be dispatched tomorrow.

I have a 1TB SSHD and do not find it much quicker tbh. I think for a games console where you play different games all the time it might not work too well.

My Order has just gone back to "Not yet dispatched" ?

I would if it didn't cost as much as the console to get a decent size drive.

Well not really, if you don't get a stopwatch out, the load times are fine on the xbox.

Eh? In one of those comparisons, the SSHD is loads slower in installing and booting the games?!
