Hello. Can anyone please tell me if this slimline system can have a graphics card added to it? I've had the cover off and all I see is a PCIEX1 slot.

Any help appreciated.

Hi it's this one here Freddie. Thanks for the reply.

you could get a card like thishttp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-326-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1985 however its not very good and I would save your money and look at getting a whole new system instead.

The most powerful card you can put in it will be a single slot HD7770, since it's the most powerful card that doesn't need an auxiliary power connector.

That's a PCIe x16 slot, not x1 :p.

Even if you do get a decent low profile GPU that doesn't require extra power connectors, it will still be poorly ventilated from the looks of the case. I would consider saving up for a new system to be honest, looking around Google (HP doesn't seem to have a page for it any more) the s7000 is very outdated. Even a system with an AMD APU would be a good upgrade if you wish to stay small.

Thanks for the responses.

I was after something very cheap. The PC was bought by myself for £30 including a 19 inch screen, speaker system plus a mouse and keyboard, bit of a bargain.

It's for my daughter but it stutters on YouTube and with films, so I was hoping to get something cheap (as it's an old system) to give the visuals a bit of a boost and play video at a greater standard.

Ah right, best card for that hands down is the HD6450.
