EVGA GTX 780 Ti KingPin Edition

Just getting in here first. Writing "but will it run Crysis" is not funny, never has been and never will be. It's as funny and original as those who write "should T-Cut out" on pictures of badly crashed cars.

On topic, beast.

lold at T-Cut one. Never seen that before.

It's just more naming right marketing bullcrap, it's just to suck people into buying something that costs a fortune, because it has some gamer/overclockers name on it similar to Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel.

Can you name anything else? :p

Back in the day of when I played Sunday league football, I bought a pair Of Ronaldo R9's and thought by some miracle, I would score so many goals because Ronaldo (not that Portugues fool, the Brazilian) was on the label. The thing is, I was a center back :D:D:D

A name on a product is good marketing.

This generation of chips wont take more than 1.45v without risk of popping.

Maybe they are handpicking the classified chips though so higher chance of a golden chip.

Specifications wise, im not really sure what GPU is this card featuring. Ofcourse, its not something new and would probably be featuring the GK110-425 B1 chip being used by the GeForce GTX 780 Ti but with boosted clock speed enhancements. A higher VRAM is also a possibility with the new card featuring a 6 GB VRAM since this is the only department in which the GTX 780 Ti falls back compared to the Radeon R9 290X. Another possibility is that this new card from EVGA is a high-performance and ultra enthusiast custom design like GeForce GTX 780 Lightning prepared by MSI. If custom boards are happening on the NVIDIA side this early, then it could mean a major blow for rival AMD whose AIC partners have yet to release a non-reference Radeon R9 290 series card since the launch in October.

WCC seem a lot less in the know on the spec front. It's clearly all speculation, might not even have an unlimited TDP. It might even-just-be the Classified.

Common msi, 780ti lightning 8 pack edition :D

Surely the MSi 78pack 0Ti edition.

on second thoughts that sounds like a breakfast cereal :p

more seriously, it would be great to hear 8pack's opinion on this K|NGP|N edition card?

If 8-Pack put his name to a GPU it would most likely only come in waterblocked form and they'd be heavily screened to the point where every card would break at least 1,350Mhz on the core.

Not sure I'd be comfortable with buying a GPU named after someone else's 'guns', though :D.

Plus it's normally the yanks that sell out to things like this. Think someone already mentioned Fatal1ty. Had one of those Creative mice once. Worst POS I ever owned!

ASUS teasing ROG gubbings now :)
