Having killed my Galaxy Nexus out on the MTB the other week and having to resort to £10 Nokia phone I am in need of a replacement phone. I'm a bit bored of android having had it for the last 3 phones and I won't pay for Iphone (i'm on Giff Gaff).

I was looking in town today and was loving the feel of the windows phone.

for £120 I can get the Huawei Ascend W1 which felt really smooth and nice. Has a cracking review here http://www.trustedreviews.com/huawe...ascend-w1-camera-and_Page-3#tr-review-summary and seems a better buy than the Nokia 625 which is £150.

I know the app store on Windows is pants. But I'm not a heavy app user. Facebook, whats app, BBC news does me nicely.

So in summary can I go wrong with this for £120?
 
A friend of mine went for the W1 and is has had quite a few problems with it, updating his was the biggest one.
Also, they do t NOTHING with the Phone OS, where as Nokia adding in little things like being able to black numbers from calls and testing etc are a big plus, they REALLY support and are all in with the platform, I cant imagine buying any thing other than a Nokia for WP.
 
Can you stretch your budget abit for the 620, its a huge upgrade imo from the W1 and the 520. the only draw back i can see from the the W1 to the 520 is that the W1 has only 4gb and to use will be much less. Heard afew bad reviews about the W1 but mainly its all about the 4gb space, the media drivers and the camera. Not sure you can get the amber update on the Huawei Ascend W1 either
