**The official Super Mario 3D World (Wii U) thread**

I've got mine, only played the first 2 courses so far but really enjoying it. It's actually the first time I've used my Wii U this year for a game and this is a good start.

I like that it doesn't force you to use the Wii U pad (with screen) so I can just use the pro pad. Graphics are good, controls are nice with the pro controller.

You get the little cat costume right at the beginning, I thought that looked stupid from the previews but it's quite funny, especially when he slides down a wall leaving claw marks.
 
Can confirm that this game is amazing. Feels like I'm 11 years old all over again playing Super Mario World for the first time.:D

Definitely recommend getting it if you have a Wii U.

I take it back, it does force you to use the Wii U controller :(

At the start it says you can use any controller to play this game, yet you get to one point and it says you have to use the Wii U controller by going into the menu and swapping.. and what for, just so you can blow into the controller to make a platform move.. how stupid, I hope there's not too many of these otherwise it's going to spoil the game for me.
 
Got mine today as well. My daughter and her two friends aged 10 have been laughing solid for about 2 hours now we all love it! It's pure 100% Nintendo.
 
My two girls have never done their homework so quickly.

Going to let them stay up a bit tonight to play it.

Got mine from Gameseek today along with a killzone Ps4.
The Sony machine will have to wait for now though :)

This game is simply AMAZING !
 
Forgot that they take money on dispatch and I didn't have the funds, woops. Will pick it up after work.

Has any one tried co-op at all? I got a pro pad just to play with my bro.
 
This game is frickin brilliant, I'm genuinely impressed at how much effort has gone into it.

Best sound fx and music I've heard in a game for years too.

Gotta switch it off - early start tomorrow :-/

But tomorrow night its Mario night all night. :D
 
Hoping mine arrives in the morning. Although I've already started Zelda, I doubt I'll be able to keep myself away from this game.

Awesome! I'm loving what I'm hearing, haven't played a console Mario properly since Sunshine...

(committing heresy by not having played Galaxy, I know. :()
