I just upgraded to a GTX 780 and now have two GTX 660 Ti cards which I was planning on shifting on ebay.

However I'm wondering if it would be worth putting one in my HTPC (specs below), but I'm not sure it would be worth it or not.

Windows 7 64bit

4GB DDR2
HD7850
500w PSU Cooler Master I think, it's been a long time since I put it together.

Too much power to waste for a HTPC....

Stick them on eBay as they're not worth much these days and try and get as much of your capital back for them as you can.

Both are gaming cards, pointless in an HTPC. The 7850 overclocked just a little is on par with a 660 ti, so it's not an upgrade really. The 660 ti will have a higher resale cost though.

Personally i would prefer the £100 you can get for the 660ti, unless you play some games on the HTPC

Well I do occasionally with controller as it's plugged into the TV but not allot, but usually the performance isn't that good. I remember trying Tomb Raider on there with the HD7850 and it was playable but not a great experience.

But I don't know if that's the graphics card or the CPU holding it back more.

Probably the components looking at them, i have a 7850 and can play tomb raider on high 60+fps no problem
