I'm currently running a
Windows 7 64bit
Intel Core i3-2120 3.3ghz
6GB of Ram
XFX ATI Radeon 5770 HD 1GB
Antec TruePower Trio 650w Power supply
1 Terabyte Harddrive
2 x 300 GB Harddrives
And I'm looking at a £180 upgrade budget, I was leaning towards replacing the graphics card as the graphics card is several years old, I would upgrade the CPU but the price of the Intel LGA1155 processors would take up the majority of my budget and to upgrade the processor to a newer one or match the switch to AMD would mean I would also have to purchase a new motherboard and a new Windows 7 64bit disc.
So I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to what graphics card I should upgrade to with the current spec of my machine, I mainly use it for gaming and I don't go overboard with my graphic settings in games as I have a 19 inch LG L1900R monitor and normally stick to the 1280x1024 resolution.
I was looking at the Radeon R9 270X series but wasn't sure whether my CPU would limit the card and I also looked and saw that my power supply has only one 6 pin graphics power connector but it also has a separate 8 pin graphics power connector as well, I wanted to mention this as I've noticed that most of the Radeon R9 270X series requires two 6 pin Power Connectors and was unsure whether they would work with the power supply I have.
I should also mention I have zero experience at overclocking.
Thanks
