Hey guys,

Can anyone give me a rough idea of the FPS i can expect from a 670 in BF4? i cant find any figures anywhere!

System:
CPU: I5 3550 3.3GHZ (IVY)
GPU: GTX 670 4GB stock clock
RAM: Samsung green 8GB.
Monitor: BENQ XL2420T 1080P Resolution.

I apologise if this is in the wrong section.

Any replies appreciated :)

Mix of Medium and high and also use SMAA much better than FXAA. Tiny bit more demanding than FXAA but gives the same AA almost has MSAA.
 
As a rough average across all maps at 1080p All ultra, 4xMSAA on two 670's (mildly overclocked) I get ~100fps, so you should get 50-60 average

You may need to overclock your cpu as well.
 
50-60 on average, it's the drops in fps when lots happens to <30 for 1 or 2 secs will be the annoyance!
Play on low, i do not notice the difference and you will get decent solid performance and way above 60fps.
 
I play on 2560 x 1440 res, not sure what settings i have but it is a mixture of high, low and ultra and i get a fairly constant 60+fps sometimes as high as 100 and the game still looks good.

Would i really need to overclock my CPU? it's not exactly old and i was under the impression a 3.3 Quad ivy was overkill for games.
 
At 1080p you should get a 50+ average on ultra msaax4 settings. With msaa off you should get around 60+ average.

I currently use ultra settings with motion blur and anti post off with 2msaa and dont have any problems, ( except my aim )

My 3570k is at 4.2ghz though and my kfa2 670 is running at 1150mhz core and 6.2ghz memory for gaming.

What? I think your 670 may have a fault if that's all you're getting!

I'm running the same setting as Ian with my EVGA GTX 670 FTW card at stock speeds (and a 4770K @ 4.3GHz) and I get around 70-80 fps most of the time with a few occasional drops to the high 50s. Even with 4xMSAA The average hovers around the 60fps mark.

My 670 is at stock, admittedly it's an FTW which has factory OC, but the OP doesn't say what sort of 670 so it may also be a FTW or similarly factory clocked card (did they make 4GB reference cards?).

Regarding the CPU, that could well make a difference, although I'd imagine it's the hyperthreading that would help as much as the clock increase if BF4 runs ok on AMD CPUs.
