For those who don't regularly visit the MM but have access please check this thread here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18560524
As a very long time user, I think those are perhaps a little excessive in terms safety for the buyer.
I think many users would prefer jailbroken/romm'ed/phones.
The £2 Checkmend thing is too much hassle tbh. There is no garuntee that phone will sell either. I think we should have a limited scope with that feature for the most expensive of phones >£200 asking price.

The whole checkmend thing is a bit much for me. But if I was on the receiving end of a scam I'd probably wish it was in place. Regardless though as someone who's used the MM over the years I'd be put off the red tape before listing my item.
This is a free service offered by those who give up their free time though so there's no incentive to remove the checkmend either, besides demand at cost of being scammed. I think it's something we users will have to accept if we want to sell mobile phones on the MM, which probably won't be popular as a result.
This is very possibly the price for wanting to keep the MM's reputation of a safe place to trade and that's not something I want to compromise on. If it doesn't prove popular then that's just a fact of life, but I'd rather that than it attracting scammers.
