Get your Wallets Ready - Steam Sale Dates this Winter

I know this is of no relevance whatsoever to the sales but Game Dev Tycoon reminded me that I'd bought it before it was actually available on Steam - is there any way I can validate this copy on Steam without buying it again?

Cities XL Platinum worth a punt for £3.99 in the flash sale that finishes at 1000 GMT, despite its flaws, for my better half who likes that type of game?

I was wondering the same thing about Cities XL although from what I've read it doesn't sound all that good so will put the £3.99 towards the next lot of deals :)

Unless someone here has the game and would recommend it?

Limbo for £1.74 is a must-buy for anyone who hasn't already got it. Short, but so atmospheric and moving, and some challenging little puzzles.

Is Game Dev Tycoon any good? I've played GameDevStory on the iPhone to death and loved it, so it looks like something I'd be into :p

very very good for the first few playthroughs then i totally lost interest completely. I think because i didnt like the way they determined a hit game or not... it was a bit like finding out the magician's trick...wasnt really that good afterall.

I find quite a few small indie games have very limited replay value once you get to the end a few times... Like FTL, I absolutely loved it and still do but as soon as I beat the end boss a few times it pretty much killed my interest in it

Ok that's just wrong. In their daily deals they've put COD Ghosts up at £39.99... the normal price. Either it's a mistake or they're using the sales just to advertise it.

A glitch but I did laugh at the latest deal update when among the Daily Deals was COD: Ghosts for a whopping zero % off. Actually turns out to be 17% off.

Nearly jumped at Saints Row 4 but I'm not desperate to play it. Had it been 50% I probably would have.

EDIT:
Yeah, the store front seems to be bugged all to hell. Click on Saints Row 4 and discover the discount is actually 60%.

*pulls trigger*

I still have saints row 3 to play properly from the humble bundle (at least i think i got it there) and from the reviews 4 doesn't sound worthwhile if you have 3.

Just noticed Trine 2 for £1.39 in the flash sale, seems silly not to at that.

I would have been all over that State of Decay if only they had made it multi-player, maybe they will get the next one right.

State of Decay worth it?

Ive been enjoying it before it came on sale, if your the kind who likes lots of looting and exploring it can be fun. However the zombies biggest problem is that with vehicles in the game you can all but ignore them and plough through anything in a car.

Play it without relying on the vehicles and its real good fun, has a semi persistent world in that people you meet and befriend can get hurt while your offline as it simulates the days between.

Ive had a few guys have injuries, a few die and others keep doing missions between play sessions. Its also nice that you have to rest your main toon from time to time and play as someone else.
