*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I got a PS4 today at luvnchtime from O2 with my phone upgrade. I then went to argos and bought an xbox one.

I'm not home yet but it's fair to say I'm not sure what to do first! :p
 
Just got in and was ready to setup the PS4 but my mate is also having PSN issues. So I wait till tomorrow. Not much point trying to set it up now and play anything.
 
Got to play on a friends today, the only real difference between this and his XBO is in the UI tbh - at least my eyes couldnt see any real difference in the quality of multi-plat titles (but then, im not a pixel peeper!)

Love the Vita remote play thing though, its really swaying me towards the PS4 next year over the XB0 - its a feature I use (of sorts) on the Wii U an awful lot, so would be so very handy.

The Trophy system still sucks however, why oh why does it still have to do this ridiculous syncing crap?
 
So what are peoples thoughts on Killzone? Yay or nay? Then again I'm glad I bought this instead of going with Microsoft's effort.
 
well took mine back and got a refund since no stock and didn't want to wait :( so i picked up bf 4 for xbox one picked up a wii u for the kids and will try and get one after xmas
 
Need some help plz guys.

I already have an active PS+ membership. With our consoles today we got a year subscription in the bundle, (just a code). Is their a way I can stack this with my current membership or do I have to let it run out first?

Killzone is awesome, very good looking game. Their are some dodgy AI moments, but no more than any other game. When it happens it's more funny than distracting. Sound effects, weapons, all top notch. Def worth a look.
 
DriveClub is looking pretty good. I really want a PS4 now.

enter your code and it will stack to your existing membership :)
 
^ Wow, loving the Channel 4 / PS4 plugs there.
The killzone one in that link is also very good.

How would they of done these? Video Editing on top of existing game footage or the actual game engine modded by the devs to include the '4' structures?
 
Got both my consoles today and both working fine. Cant log into PSN for some reason though!

Kids absolutely loved playroom, so cool

Killzone feels much better and responsive than the laggy piece of poo that was KZ2, looks good so far.

UI is really responsive and seamless. Put Killzone in and could start playing straight away, no loading anything. All done in background.

Everything is just so quick
