Hi everyone.

I got my PS4 at midnight from GAME and is made in China. I've had no issues so far and even BF4 has been flawless.

Just thought a thread on the subject so people can talk about possible fixes, returns etc in one place.

So speak up and let's see what's happening.

The official ps4 thread? Trying to keep it separated so those with working consoles can chat about games. Those with nackered consoles get help.

Mine

Blinking blue light, no output to the tv. Getting it collected on Monday and new one arriving Thursday (would be fine if it wasn't my birthday on Wednesday so am off work from now until then enjoying my ps4, not)

Blue pulse here, Sony are swapping it on Tuesday.
DPD are being sent out with a swap it tote. Once they check the serial, they leave me a brand new one and take away the faulty one.

called 0844 736 0595 and got some great customer service.

Thanks hardkore for creating a thread that is designed to help people or pass on info that might help or even sort a ps4 problem.

It would be good if people kept this one on topic or speak up if they had something genuinely usefull to contribute - TBag

Wish I'd known this earlier - mine's gone back to Asda and I'm now left looking for a new deal/at the back of every queue!

I've also got a friend that is unable to log onto his account. This however could be a server issue rather than a PS4 issue. He sold his PS3 in preparation of the PS4 though so is unable to log on via that.

Mine was dead on arrival. Made in China and blinking blue light of death, with no output signal.

Trying to get it replaced.

By trying I mean holding the line for 20 minutes twice ... first time the operator hung up after saying "hi", second time I got half way through the RMA process and they hung up.

So good.

Not sure if this is any use but its worth a try (found by googling ps4 blue light of death)

In a nutshell, I think its about the HDMI connection and plugging/unplugging the HDMI lead with the TV and console powered on which - as he states in the guide - is not advisable but it worked for him. Maybe its like a HDMI handhshake jump start.

Third time lucky. Completed the RMA procedure, and like others I'll be getting a replacement on Tuesday on a swap basis. Disappointing as the failure is, that is hugely better service than most consumer electronics companies.

Just to clarify, was this through Sony?
