Thanks. I will get a PS4 next year. I have PSN subs till Dec 2016. So I'm collecting the PS4 and Vita free games each month, cos I already have a Vita.

I just remember all the fun and enjoyment I had playing Super Mario 1 (NES) and Super Mario World (SNES) and Super Mario 64 (N64) and Super Mario Galaxy (Wii). Not to mention all the Zeldas :)

Also Mario Party is great fun with family too, now I have a 3 month old daughter to entertain :P

So im looking to get a Wii U with Mario/Luigi and Mario 3D world, and the 3DS XL Zelda edition, with a qualifying game for the free Mario. Loads of games and 2 consoles for the price of a PS4 and game :)
 
Did anyone else manage to abuse the Koopa shell on an underground level?

It was an accident but it let me jump on for around 30 lives because the distance between hitting the wall and falling on the shell is exactly the same. So I didn't even jump, just let it bounce and "1-UP!" constantly. :D I'll let you know what level when I get home, can't quite remember.

They have this in every 3D Mario game. It's an intentional way for the muppets who can't play to get 1000 lives :p

Thanks for that. Still working out whether to get it soon or wait and give to my son as part of his Christmas present.

Sounds a bit like Rayman then. Sometimes the ghosts on that irritate the hell out of me when I lost track of 'me' :)

Ghost Mii is actually very cool, it's not just an arrow it's a full 3D model and you can watch all their tricks.
 
Been playing this all afternoon, found it quite hard to stop actually lol.

You never know what to expect with each level, so many great ideas, it keeps me intrigued and wanting to discover what surprises will show up in the next level.
