Headphone buzz at low volumes

Hi all,

I recently bought some Kraken 7.1 USB headphones and have noticed something. If I listen to music, for example, at a normal volume, everything is wonderful.
If I turn the music lower, to the point where I can just about hear it, the buzzing becomes more and more apparent. The buzzing is not constant, infact it seems to buzz along with song if that makes sense. It's almost like a static'y version of the song is playing alongside but at a lower volume. If you imagine a track with only vocals then the buzzing would dip in and out, only playing when the voice plays, but silencing when the voice stops. When things are louder it's not an issue but if I listen to something at a lower volume or even something like a piano track where it's always relatively quiet, it can be pretty annoying and distracting.
At first I thought it might have been the bass, but I turned that down and if anything it makes it more prominent.

Extra info - I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I do actually have a Creative SoundBlaster PCI card plugged into the machine, however drivers have been removed and the device is disabled in Device Manager. Do you suppose this could be causing interference of some sorts? I can always remove it if you think that would help.

Thanks in advance!
Mark

There is actually a faint 'fizzing' sound even when the headphones are muted. I'm a bit of a perfectionist with audio so this is really frustrating ><

It's the Usb power, emi leakage into the headphone jack, that's what your hearing

Someone on here posted a link to a shield/suppressor that stopped it but I cantfind the thread
