***The Official Battlefield 4 Thread***

playing on ps4 and finding it fun but frustrating. i'm used to pc shooters so i've finding precision aiming really tough. General movement is fine, but when i see an enemy and aim down the sights, i'm just finding it really tricky to not over aim. Any clues?

If you've not played battlefield before stay away from conquest. Play domination or TDM and play assault. Get to know the game a bit better before moving onto maps with vehicles.

As for flying. Practices is the key so use the flying range to get a feel for how stuff flies

Not been in the flying range but glad they finally added a practice area, as I suck at flying

If you're used to the PC you just need to practice. It will come with time.

Try and play more cautiously and defensively to give yourself more time to aim. Be the person that sees them, not the other way round
 
This is so buggy :(

Why is there no party system implemented either? I spend half my time trying to get everyone on the same server, on the same team and in the same squad!

Yup! 32 vs 32 on a console, it's absolutely great running into battle with 31 other players at your side :)

Exactly my thoughts really.

Played some with a couple of friends in a party on PS4 and it was just so difficult to get on the same server, let alone the same team! We gave up on trying to be in the same squad in the end and it was just nice being on the same server.

Hopefully they patch it. I'm having heaps of fun with it but it's buggy as Hell.
 
Is anyone finding the chat in general not working right? I'm getting kinda broken up chat.

Also, in choppers, when switching between the guns and missiles, when you go to missiles with a lock on the missiles don't fire?.

You mean voicechat? It's been a bit glitchy yeah.
 
The new version of metro is AWESOME. The elevators at B are such a good idea, as is the flooded area below it to stop base camping. Just hope some servers get released that do metro only for those times when you just want to have mindless chaotic fun and not have to look far for a fight.
 
I haven't even been able to get any of the older maps, cant get the servers list to work at all or it fails to join.

Its taken me a few days to be able to play on the second assault DLC stuff. I had to wait until EA released the battle log update that forced the xb1 to check the premium credentials on an account, then had to finally get the awful software DICE made to actually allow me to download the DLC in the first place.

After all that bother though, all 4 maps have some lovely changes to them that make them far more interesting than the originals. The sandstorm on oman is a massive game changer on what use to be a sniper heaven, especially on hardcore. Now they can't see 100 metres in front of them so it starts to get really close quarters.

The caspian border map also has a great way of funnelling players towards objectives due to the massive wall in the centre of the map. Theres loads of cover for infantry NOT in vehicles as well to cross the massive field on the way to A and B points also, that was sorely lacking in the BF3 version.

I look forward to playing more of it, just need DICE to finally patch the game to make it more stable, as there are numerous issues with the multiplayer server lists (can't join servers and saying commander is full when you are simply trying to join as a normal player etc) and also the crashing.

however, i'm finding that almost every game i play disconnects after 5 mins or so :(

Turned uPNP on (router setting?) to open your NAS? I don't seem to get drop outs on my XB1 after enabling that, where as BF3 on the PC wanted the exact opposite...

How did you get to play them? I couldn't select anything on the servers list, so just having to use find a quick match option, I usually just go for conquest but its only playing the new maps.

I just keep refreshing my list until one of the 2014 maps shows up on a server that has space and join it. I downloaded second assault via the in game store, which took ages to actually download and install, then I didn't have any issues joining second assault games.

Press left stick continuously and each time you'll get a different list of servers. It's very strange !
 
Still nothing I can join empty servers so the maps load fine, just theirs no one else in them, im on my own!

Also, most seem to be playing as recon, seeing as suddenly sniper rifles can fire faster than any Autmatic weapon I have seen from the hip, brilliant thinking behind that one.

Cant for the life of me get my TB Earforce bravos to work like they should, done the exact setup TB list and it's so quiet i cant hear chat, i cant adjust the volume at all.

Party chat was good though, made things clearer but still low volume.
 
Had a few good games last night, but the sound kept cutting out throughout, even when on foot. Usually happened when spawning, really ruins in.

Did manage to have a match on the new metro, was only 5 vs 5 or something and lost it, I think you can probably still get spawn trapped easily enough, especially if there's 32 other people to try and get past!

I don't know if its me or my sound settings but are the warning beeps a lot quieter to anyone else? I can hardly hear them, or when I do, its too late to fire counter measures. I guess its just getting used to the new way everything works!
