Evening, are there any Apple Genii (geniuses?) in the house? I'm doing a scavenger hunt and need a photo of an Apple Genius eating an apple. We asked in store and a manager said you can't photo a Genius for trademark reasons. Which is a ridiculous notion.

Anyone available with a Genius tshirt and an apple that can help me out? Just send a trust message if possible. There's no prize involved just the adulation of my peers.

Cheers

Sherpa

Just find any hipster clown in a blue t-shirt and stick one of those Apple stickers in the middle of it. Job done.

Probably better off asking in the Apple section of the forum...

Big Bang Theory: Sheldon on volunteering at Penny's place of work

I asked myself what is the most mind-numbing, pedestrian job conceivable and three answers came to mind: a toll booth employees, an Apple store genius, and what penny does. Because I don't like touch other peoples' coins and I refuse to contribute to the devaluation of the word genius, here I am.

:D

I worked an Apple store social event and one of these 'Genii' was tasked with DJing the evening. He had his macbook running the music but decided during the most floor-filled moment of mass drunken dancing that that would be the ideal time to update the drivers on his Macbook.

Cue a loss of music, replaced instead by two minutes of silence puntuated by the occasional system ding sound. Oh, and lots of booing. Genius I think not.

Find this quite hard to believe, been a mac user for years and nothing auto updates without prompts.

I don't know specifically what he was doing, but whatever it was he was fiddling and could have just let it be. And even with the prompt he was probably saying yes.

It's funny because it's true :-D
