Is the bog standard 780ti Classified still worth getting.

That Kingpin version is a tad on the mouth-watering side, am guessing people that have 780 ti money to spend will not hesitate to spend the extra as opposed to the vanilla version.
I had saved pennies towards graphics for last few months but mining gripped me and opted for 2 x 7990's again just to get it kick started, fingers crossed will still have enough pennies left to get 2 x classifieds when they touch down would be interesting to find out the price of the Kingpin version any ideas Mr K? :)

I'd be interested in seeing the 780ti KPE v 290X lightning battle before i'd make a decision, msi have a lot of making up to do and it could possibly be a killercard.

If the regular Classified is just over £650, you can add another £150 for the extra vram so I think we are looking at something like £799.99

I won't be getting four though as they won't bench any better than my Titans due to the huge CPU bottleneck.

The way to go with these cards is to get two and clock the nuts off them.

It would be a bit of a non event. NVidia cards are good at half the benches, AMD cards are good at the other half, sadly neither is good at all the benches.

The classy has always been a class card :D and the KPE does look mouth watering. If I was buying now, I would want the fastest potentially for benching.

I've just been thinking the same. I put in my order for the Classifieds last night as well. Seems a tad unfair being so misinformed when we don't even know the full specs of the Classy yet. Are they one and the same even? Doubt it but who knows.

Very good thread Mr K.

Has anyone heard what the expected clocks of the classified are along with the rest specs for this card.. is there even a review yet?

I had my money put away for a titan and just as I about to drop a shed load of cash.. Nv released the Ti. So I waited a bit longer & the Classy was announced and I have mine on pre-order OcUK.. Now the KPE is announced & Im thinking about changing my order but there still no Specifications out for the Classy - never mind the KPE.

Im asking for advice from the Don's :) should I stick or twist ;)

Well that's just it. Nobody has a scooby at the moment. The Kingoin is rumoured for release in December.

About £799 for a card that will most likely only give a few extra FPS over an overclocked stock ref 780ti...

Yep, 780 classy block is good for Ti Classy.

Agree with others on the kingpin, i've also got a pre-oder in for the Classys and now wondering whether to pull it or not. Only reason i'm changing from 780's to Classy Ti's is for benching, if the Kingpin is going to be the better card then i'd opt for that instead.

I'd be seriously ****ed off if the Classy's turned up at my door then a couple of weeks later the Kingpin was released.

Staff - where do we stand with these pre-orders and the potential Kingpin release? Will Kingpin pre-orders be available before Classy release day and can we amend the order/step up??

Even some sort of idea on release dates/time between the two would be good from EVGA or it's a bit of a raw deal for those getting Classys imo.
