Would 750w suffice? Friend needs to upgrade and he reckons he'll be fine on 750w.
I think 800w minimum?

750 is fine, when playing BF4 my 780sli and 4670k never draw more than 500w
A good 750w is plenty.
I see people are still way overestimating power consumption![]()

850w gold rated.
I would get 850w just to be safe
Even with his cpu and 2 gtx 780's overclocked to their max the system will likely never exceed 550w, in most cases it will be under 500w. If he had a more power hungry cpu then I'd say 850w but with a 2600k, 750w is the perfect capacity imo.
Nothing wrong with running a psu @ around 75% load. Not to mention there can be a pretty hefty price difference between. The 750w will also be more efficient when not gaming.
Why spend all that money on a system (sli 780 system approx £1200)
then scrimp on a good psu by trying to save £40-50
You may be prepared to risk it - I certainly wouldn't

750w is fine as long as it's a decent one
