My pc is becoming more and more dusty and I'm not too sure what to do.

I have compressed air, wipe cloths but should I also use a vacuum cleaner to suck in the dust after its blown away by the compressed air.

I'm not too sure I should as I don't want to fry up any of my components.

Actually I can use the gf's hairdryer. sounds like a plan. I'm hoping to do it when we move house. anyone send me a couple of links of some good dust covers?

Get dust covers and make sure that you have a positive pressure in your case. If you have a negative pressure dust will be wicked in through all the gaps in your case. To have a positive pressure in your case all you need to have is more air going in to your case than out so in other words you need more intake fans than outlet fans.

I only have dust filters on my intake fans with the top of my case left open. Due to some clever fan control and dust filters on the instate fans I have very little dust on the incise of my PC even after 18 months and its even sat on carpet which is less than ideal for dust.

Only buy DEMCiflex filters. They are fantastic. I have a Silverstone magnetic filter as well and it is a pile of cack. Looks more like a sieve.

I use a brush that is specifically made for dusting off PCBs. It came as part of an electronics tool kit a bought years ago. I use the nozzle end of a vacuum cleaner to clear the front mesh on my case.
