Electric shavers.. Who uses them?

I have a Panasonic RF31s which uses a 4 blade system and gives me a clean shaven look and feel. It is both wet and dry but I prefer a dry shave which feels nicer and no need to dry it out, only brush out with the included tool.

Battery lasts ages, over a month for me.

The Braun models irritate my skin and itch but the Panasonic glides over and feels great.

I have Remington R8150 for when I need a clean shave look and Philips Norelco QT4070, for 0.5mm and beyond...

Use Philips more often as I am too tired of having irritated face and stubble just looks better than clean shaved greeness...#

I use to have Remington Barba, which is a truly beastie machine... Major problem with it was that the hair was really flying everywhere and it took about 10 mins to clean up whole bathroom.... QT4070 has vacuum so it collects hair, although not all, but it doesnt fly beyond sink.

How can you only shave every 3-4 days without looking like a scruffy so-and-so?

Yeah electric is the way to go for everyday shaving, but keep your razors for special occasions when you need to look your smartest. I've found that the Phillips electric shavers work best for me.

I hate shaving, and almost need to shave twice a day - but the only way to minimise the "pain in the neck" is to do it regularly, and make sure that the blade is sharp, and the skin is prepared before.

I can't use electric shavers they don't offer a close enough shave for me, and it's just as quick to use a proper wet shave for a better result.

Get a proper DE Razor and never look back!

The only problem is the money you save on blades soon gets taken out by buying different soaps/blades etc all the time.....

I use an electric razor mainly through laziness. I've got a remington I bought off amazon for about £80 and find it does a good enough job for me. Main advantage over wet shaving is that if I'm running late I can shave in the car.

That's because people are stupid and buy stuff to mess around with rather than just buying what they need.

Try a selection of blades, find the best, buy in bulk. Then try a few different soaps/gels and settle on one you like.

Having tried everything over the years I still get a red rash and soreness. Had an expensive electric razor last christmas and it hasn't helped, tied the best razors and shaving creams/gels/foams.

Basically I have ended up using a beard trimmer on the lowest setting, always having light stuble. It's better than a red, face full of rash.

I use one of these...

Philips QS6160/32

Has a beard trimmer one end and a shaver the other. Can wash it under the tap or use it in the shower. Charges itself in the stand without needing to plugged in. It's great.

Haven't clean shaven for 3-4 years now.

Few interviews in that time and it hasn't hindered me. I don't see the point in making myself look 18 again with an irritated red face when I can have the 5 oclock shadow look instead.

I feel sorry for people who can't grow facial hair fully, got a mate in his 20's who's facial hair grows in patches so he needs to clean shave.
