or maybe i should wait till the xmas sales or do you think its good value now at £14.99 since i got the game for £6

brings it up to £21 in total

is Bioshock Infinite worth £3?

Hope you like it. I didn't, I got very bored after an hour or so. I've still got it installed because I refuse to pay for something and not at least complete it once. There was an Infinite thread somewhere, there were a lot of people who thought it was dull and very repetitive.

The main contention in Bioshock Infinite came from the combat system, but there are few who don't like the setting and visual aesthetic. Even if the enemies are a bit bullet spongy, I'm sure most of you have played through worse.

Well worth it for the joy it will bring to your eyes, and the barbershop quartet.

Main contention for me (although overall I liked the game) was how tantalizingly close it came to truly being on of the most absorbing and well crafted fantasy worlds, and how painful and obvious the cross-platform design decisions aimed at making sure the consoles would run it made it fall just short of that... Here's a few examples:

The amount of copy-pasted NPCs; total immersion breaker when you've seen that same woman for the 15th time... I don't expect them to necessarily model every person individually but come on, at least have a few variations on the basic models with different clothes or something. This is especially bad because of how few NPCs populate most areas in the game in the first place.

The other big one is that although there are hints of small details in the world to entice you to look closer, it doesn't take much investigation to start spotting some of the awful modelling and textures. For instance the fruit in the market stalls not being modelled and instead just a completely flat texture... For something that you're bound to get up close to as you look around the stalls it's an instant kick right in the immersion

/rant... Still buy it though as it is a good game, this is just nit-picking at the end of the day
