If you're going to sell ALL your Vape gear, only to go back on the Nicotine Gum, or worse - start smoking again, then I would hold on to your kit.

You WON'T recoup as much as you'd expect - people won't hand over £20ish for a Vision Spinner when Fasttech sell them for under a tenner (regardless of the waiting game).

If you intend on revisiting Vaping again, you'll only have to shell out yet more cash (if you buy new), on top of whatever you spend on NRT in the meantime; I'm guessing you're not just going cold-turkey over the Xmas period (inappropriately seasonal expression!)?

It is quite a lot of stuff for that money and I doubt you would get it cheaper even from fasttech.

If anyone wants the juices separately then they are still for sale.

2 mil silica with 5 wraps of .2 kanthal works for me, comes out at around 1.8 ohms. 2 mil silica with 5 wraps of .2 kanthal works for me, comes out at around 1.8 ohms.

If you are having issues with coils getting blocked quickly then it may be to do with the liquid you're using. I found that Vanilla Custard or certain other 'sweet flavours' were the worst culprits, I think it is largely to do with the added sweetener

Majnu. I owe you one. Magnets arrived today, many MANY thanks, so much smoother :D

EDIT: Again, any ideas on what cheap-ish dripper I should grab for dual coiling?

Talking of magnets, does anyone know where to get battery spacer magnets? I've got a few 18350 flat tops which could have done with being button tops...

I've got an IGO-W and a Nimbus clone and I like them both a lot.

I prefer the Nimbus but I'm not 100% sure why, probably the look!

The IGO-W has bigger holes in the posts so probably a bit easier for dual coils? I don't really run them so I'm just guessing.

IMO droppers are much of a muchness, it's mostly a choice between posts with holes and posts without I guess.

Excellent. I thought they may have got stuck somewhere as they should have arrived on Saturday. I sent the OP a trust message but iirc someone else wanted a pair too.

Yeah, there is some issues with mail in Crewe, last week I received 2 letters on the same day, both semi-important, both dated 27th SEPTEMBER...

Got my GP Spheroid today so thought I'd micro coil it. Everything was going well till I screwed the tank on then it wouldn't fire on my paps x or provari mini. Can't figure out where it's shorting so kinda frustrated by it so have taken it apart for time being and will work on it tomo.

Followed the online tutorials on how to coil and wick it but wasn't getting any joy from it.

Will have to try again tomo.

Genesis atomisers can **** off! I hate it! Aaaargh!

Honestly I can't do a thing right, I'm useless.

Doesn't help that it's so easy to get a dripper to do pretty much whatever you want it to do in one or possibly two tries.

Except hold loads of juice

Genesis types can be tricky. What problem are you having? I've only just recently gone back to them too but this time with a bit more knowledge and more importantly patience. I'll post a decent illustrated guide which is a good resource when I'm at my PC tomorrow.

Which Genny & which problem, specifically?
Did you catch my post on the previous page? There are a few pictures of my various setups - all simple to do, all working very well...
Often, just the addition of a SS washer is enough to fix a troublesome Genny. If you would like, send me an email with a couple of photos of the setup you're trying to get to work and I'll be able to see if I can troubleshoot...

Edit: Will get a couple of washers in the post to you tomorrow. Apologies for forgetting - it's been a very long weekend with poorly son & mother in law...

Bugger! Beaten like the proverbial Ginger Step-child... :p

That's a great guide for the basic Mesh Wick setup - but since learning to Micro coil, I've found it's easier to build the coil on a bolt/drill bit, install onto the atty's topdeck, pulse fire & check for hot spots & resistance, then insert the wick: Mesh, SS rope, cotton or combination of all three...

Also look up the drill bit method. I've never had a hot spot since using it.

+1 for a tank you use for the same flavour each time; otherwise a 1.5ohm microcoil with cotton wick, as it's much easier to whip out the cotton, dry burn the crud off the coil and replace with fresh cotton between flavour changes.

There's a lot to be said for Microcoiling & Cotton, in most devices - even Genesis atties.

Thanks RM :) I'm going to give it a go later today with the protank. I'll let you know how I get on.

How do you personally find microcoil with cotton compares with a normal ekowool wick and wire job in terms of flavour?

I've tried wrapping the coil around the wick, and I've tried the drill bit method once.

It's an AGA-T2. The problem last night was crazy low resistance readings - I guess there must have been a short somewhere?

I'll give it my best go tonight and get some pictures. Going to go solid SS mesh wick done around a drill bit (well a small screwdriver).

I'll take a look at that guide Majnu, thanks for that.

And RedMogg, really appreciate the washers thing, don't hurry yourself it's a freebie, do it whenever you've got the time :)

Much, much better! There's more contact of wire on wick; the resistance is generally lower and therefore more heat and more vapour, without the burning taste of silica. It's a much silkier and cleaner taste.
Obviously, the cotton must be kept wet; no dry burning to clean tge the same wick between tank fills - but then it's easier to just replace the cotton than rinse & dry ekowool.

You're effectively getting the dripper taste, without having to top up the wick every 5 puffs! In a Genesis tank, you don't get the juice discolouration that burning mesh or ss rope wick causes; you can pretty much vape an entire tank and the flavour will be the same from the fjirst test puff, until the penultimate chuff before the not-quite dry hit...

As you can probably tell, I'm a big advocate of microcoiling; if you need any supplies - get in touch. I've plenty of lower guage A1 Kanthal and organic cotton, as well as a couple of Greigster's Coil Buddies available. I do a full kit too, but I believe you're probably okay for the necessary kit. I'll send you the details of what the kit contains and if you're in need of something specific, I'm sure we can sort something that out ;)
