Why oh why have you raised the priced 3 TIMES on the sapphire 280x Toxic clockers, was originally listed at £269 soon as it was in stock it became £281, then when you had more stock in its £289.99 and now its like £300. It is not worth £300. another company still has it listed at £269 so why is it now worth £300 here and you dont even give a BF4 copy with it. Its ridiculous!!!

If your spending close to £300 then you may as well get the R9 290 at £320 and get a free copy of BF4 with it.

The Sapphire Toxic is priced as it is because it is obviously popular and in high demand, being also the highest performing R9 280X.

it may be the highest peforming but for £300 i think youll see people stump up an extra £20 for a 290 which leaves it in the dust so kind of pointless increasing the price. it looks really good but definately not worth £300

Is that the card manufacturer bumping up the price or is it the retailer?

Supply and demand i guess but yes it is not worth that price it is hitting 290 price point. I would say wait for better supplies and the market to calm down a bit and the price will drop. For certain it will fall once 3rd party 290 cards get here

AMD GPU's here and in the US are flying off the shelf, in the US they are starting to get difficult to get a hold of, it is Crypto currency mining, the litecoin live chat on wemineltc is full of users scrambling to find AMD GPU's asking if anyone knows who has them in stock.

It is a pain, the price of them is sky-rocketing, wait for all this to settle down. the price will normalise again before to long.

Whatched a used 7950 on fleabay a couple of days ago, seller said "great for litecoin mining" it sold for £300 :confused:

WHAT?

God dammit!

That's got to be a one-off or something. I've had my eye on a couple of ref 7970's that ended going for around £220 or so over the last couple of days.

I think a lot of us are spoiled by the MM. The price beatdowns on there are rather exceptional tbh.

Nobody likes 7970's, nevermind reference 7970's (for mining).

7950's are the GOTO card for mining full stop!
