so i received my hazro monitor today and im not happy with it, screen wobbles in the housing, DL DVI cable dont fit the monitor and the general quality is poor.

im going to return in and get a DGM instead, im going to send it via next day courier pre 12:00.

will OCUK be able to dispatch a DGM monitor to me the same day so i receive it on Friday?

just thought i would ask in case anyone else has had the same problem

thanks

If you want 1440P, with your budget, looking at OcUK alone, you have 3 options...

1). A DGM
2). A Hazro
3). Post a wanted thread on the MM.

It'd be fine for gaming. It's got a slowish response time but it's nothing you need to worry about.

That and the fact that lots of games display awfully on it because they try and stretch to fit the screen width. I'd watch video's and read reviews before going near an ultrawide.

I know there at least *were* issues with them.

i just dont know what to do, theirs nothing wrong with my monitor, i was hoping to get a IPS 1440p for under 400 quid but it turned out as a fail lol.

so i dont know what to do, the weakest part of my rig is the cpu/mobo atm

i dont want to spend it in a area that dosent need it, i would rather upgrade the cpu/mobo before a monitor if it needs is.

is it time to move from 1156?

Shame OCUK don't stock my monitor, as a Samsung user already i'm sure you got a decent image quality and looking for something to improve upon. Im using a samsung 120hz monitor myself and i wouldn't choose anything else over it at the moment! However i would suggest if your going to invest into a monitor for gaming get a 120hz monitor! The reason i suggest this is due to the fact you are running a 7990 card and I imagine in some games you will go over the 60FPS and the 120hz will benefit you. I couldn't go back too a 60hz screen anymore the smoothness gained even on the desktop alone.. is defo worth the investment!

If I were in the same boat I would buy a 4670K, a decent motherboard and a corsair H100i(Or similar) You can use your current memory and everything else. Get that running at 4.3-4.5Ghz+ and you should see a huge performance increase across your system. I would then sell the board and cpu and get a faster SSD :)

Or... Get the benQ monitor and enjoy 120hz goodness :)

I've just bought an Iiyama GB2773HS-GB1 and love it. It's 27inch 144Hz 1ms @ 1080p and the difference between 60Hz and 144Hz is mind blowing in BF4. Yes it's not a particularly good make, and it's a TN panel so the colours are not quite there but I literally only use my PC for gaming, so I whack the saturation up to 140% in CCC and for me it looks great in games. As a test when I have a friend round to show off I set BF4 to 60Hz with vsync off and it looks like a slideshow compared to 144Hz, and that's with 80+ FPS. Your brain/eyes get used to 60Hz again after a few minutes play, but setting back to 144Hz makes everything so much more fluid and it feels like you have just upgraded your PC with a more powerful graphics card!

When looking for a monitor my criteria were MUST be 27", at least 120Hz & around £280. I realised I was asking a lot for the money and when I saw this monitor specs I had to give it a try. If I had the money though I would have gone for one of the BenQ 27" 120Hz screens as they look lovely, I just didn't have the budget there with it being December and all.

Overclockers did stock this Iiyama previously but don't seem to have it anymore.

EDIT: How about this one for you:
Asus VG278HE 27" TRUE 144Hz 3D

I know you want 1440p but I reckon 1080p @ 120/144Hz might be preferable when gaming over 1440p @ 60Hz.. But I haven't seen 1440p so don't take my word for it...

Beasty what your current specs?

Edit-sorry just noticed-

If it was me, i'd probably go for the Cpu and monitor bundle, for a more in-line system for your GPU.
Just make sure you get a decent Mobo and cooler for that 8320, then overclock the nuts off it.
