In news guaranteed to please resident moon madman groen, Colin Craig, stupid man and NZ Conservative party leader, "neither believes nor non-believes" that man has walked on the Moon.

Non-believes? Is this like Clinton's mis-spoke? Is this appropriate language for politicians, even ones as dense, moronic and contemptible as Mr Craig?

Anyway, not sure how he is unsure of whether man has been to the moon. How can an adult of apparent sound mind non-believe this?

He really should have gone with mid-believes, 50/50 or simply asked the audience.

I would feel confident in voting for someone so focused on their job (politics?) that they don't waste time on irrelevant trivia such as science, history, technological advancement and the greatest, most awe inspiring achievements of the human race.

When there's a word that is the perfect antonym of believe in the form of disbelieve I'd have hoped he'd use that.

It does look as if your NZ media is just poking fun at him though and trying to marginalise him by asking somewhat spurious questions which most politicians won't have sensible answers for. That said from the very little knowledge I've gained of him from there he's probably quite likely to make himself sound silly before too long even without their help.

I thought Australians were the idiot Antipodeans whilst those from NZ were comparatively well-educated. Very strange.

I'm sure I saw on the news ages ago that various moon rocks that had been give as gifts to politicians from other countries had been analysed and found to be not moon rock however I watch Myth busters so firmly believe we went there.
