The last network to set up shop in Britain, it has fought hard to build a profitable business against its longer established rivals. But after years of losses, 3 reported its first profit in the second half of 2010.
"In building and growing 3 since 2000 we have incurred substantial losses, this is in the nature of massive infrastructure investments," said finance director, Richard Woodward.
"We have thankfully become profitable, but there are obviously still losses to account for. We are committed to growing a profitable business and that will lead to us paying corporation tax, in addition to the taxes we currently pay."
