*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Purity ROM has this feature, good all round ROM to be honest. Not sure about just doing it without flashing a new ROM, although it probably wouldn't hurt to figure out how this ROM is doing it.

Thanks. I managed to find a way using Xposed ModoCo module.
It's a lovely thing that Xposed and in particular theGravity Box and Xtools modules

Yes root requires unlocking the boot loader. This in turn wipes the phone.

Unlike on Samsung phones.

Yeah it's annoying that it wipes the phone, but it's only once so it's not a huge loss.

Not losing the warranty and having to deal with KNOX/flash counters is worth it though! :)

I meant a waste of money, not a waste of energy.

If the 2A is no more expensive than the 1.2A then fair enough I guess!

The only thing you'll find cheaper than that is some crap Chinese charger that may or may not go up in flames at some point.

I still have the same problem that i had on my Nexus 4.....notifications sometimes arrive late over wifi and sometimes even over 3G. I will all of a sudden get all the notifications all at once. Normally happens when the phone has been idle for a long time...

I thought they had fixed this issue?

Also, the N5 Auto Brightness is all over the place. Is there any fix for this? I hate it when you wake it up and then its bright but after a few seconds it adjusts....would like it if it was instant

Its pretty annoying, misses needs to wipe her device and there really is no way to backup app data properly without using some weird 3rd party tool or rooting and using TBP. Should be easier to just back up things, hope it comes out soon.

Finally decided to order one, went for the 32gb as it will ship this week, and it was only about $60 CAD more in the end.

Including tax and delivery, it came to $463 CAD, which is about £264. Am I right in thinking the 16gb one in the UK is £300?

I'm coming from an iPhone 4, which is unbearably slow now, so I'm looking forward the speediness of the N5, and also the change from iOS to Android :)

Recived my Free 16gb N5 today, just updating now before i do anything else :D.

Feels quite light compared to my Xperia T, goota get used to the new button layout also.
