Everyone wants a 10 incher

For a while now I’ve owned a Nexus 7 which I’ve been more than impressed with. It does everything I could want from a tablet, and at half of the price of an iPad, I really can’t complain.

The thing is though, I’ve been using my Nexus to read more and more PDFs, and for reading PDFs, a 7” screen is just that little too small for me. This was confirmed when I was handed an iPad and was able to browse seamlessly from page to page without any issue. The luxury of a 10” screen meant that I never had to zoom into particular articles across the page. Everything just seemed well laid out across the entire screen.

Now I’d really like a bigger tablet at 10” for the sole purpose of reading magazines/books. Now an iPad would be ideal but I don’t have the money for a high end product just to simply read books from. There’s that and the fact that I’m not the biggest fan of iTunes, but then again, who is?

So with that being said, has anyone got anything in mind? It doesn’t need to be brand new and I’m happy to buy second hand if the price is right. As long as it has a large enough screen to read easily from.

Thanks for hearing me out guys (and girls)

The ipad air is peobably the best their is but as a boost reader is kind of expensive. Lots of fairly cheap 10 around and most branded ones will be more than ok for a book reader. I would look around for a hot deal for one.

I understand the OPs situation. I have a Nexus 7 and after using it for web browsing, Open Transport Tycoon and Dead Trigger with my controller, I want a Nexus 10! I think I'll wait till the new one is released and use the time to think of a way to explain to the gf why I need to upgrade... again...

I recommend you wait for the Nexus 10 2nd gen or buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition - it is brilliant for annotating if you ever need that function.
