Hardly, you could get 6 of them for around £1000. I've got 4, and they're very good.
Not at 60Hz you can't.And 50" is far too large for a screen to be used as a monitor. Just ask Baddass how he'd feel about that as he stares at this 31.5" behemoth.
um yes, even 31.5" is probably too big for most people. It's a monster!

At this res won't this make reading text etc hard as it's going to be so tiny?
it is small, but actually not too bad once you've used it for a bit. you can always change DPI and text size if needed
This, I currently use a 15.4" 1920x1200 laptop which has a slightly higher PPI but find it fine to use with no scaling.

Yes that is always an option I guess, would be interesting to see one in the flesh.
I still think 1440p is the sweet spot.

on a serious note will you have one of these on display in the shop as i think its about time i changed from my dell 3007 wfp hc, that i currently have been using for the last 6 years, i actually paid £1200 for this back then, so i dont think that this new 4k version is that expensive, would be nice to see one running if possible

I must have had one of my 2407FPW since 2006, the oldest part of my collection of PC bits by far, still use them every day (I have 3).
When you look at something like this it a huge initial payout but you'll have it for years.

It can be fussy when switching SLI on and off to use a second display via HDMI, other than that it's been ok at 60Hz so far.
