Hey guys

I am building an intell/nvidia rig and need a bit of advice.
For years and years I was buying only Evga cards, but I wanted to look at other cards as well.
Looking at numbers only some seem to be a better choice.
I was looking at Inno3D gtx780 DHS edition.
Its on offer this week, is cheaper than classy and higher clocked.
Anyone have any exprience with this manufacturer?
There aren't many comments in OCuk store, so asking you instead :-)
I will be slowly building sli x 3 with those ( don't worry, water cooled, so card width isn't a problem ).
Why nvidia and why 780s snd not Ti's?
Well, I am not interested in mining and have functional heating.
And why not Ti's, because righ now its better to buy premium editions of 780s when they are still in stock and going on offer. And I won't have probles getting blocks for them. They are clocked high out of the box and can be clocked higher.

All I need to know is how good are those Inno cards, how's their rma/warranty etc.

Thanks in advance

Ps. Forgot to ask.
How many 780s can you put in sli, 3 or 4?

I can't afford a ti atm and need a gpu before xmas, have 450£ absolute max.
I may just end up with evga 780sc.
Thanks for the linky :-)

I just returned my Inno3D gtx780 DHS edition. It was a little disappointing tbh. It underperformed badly. I heard from one of the guys at ocuk say they got back a few of them where people said the same thing. It had no OC headroom either. Don't waste your money mate.

I would get a EVGA 780 SC or Classified.

Well, I am glad I asked.
Still need to know how many 780's can you put in sli, three or four?
I was wondering about slowly building my ultimate gaming monster over the next few months that way. Asus makes fantastic mobo for sli x 4, z87-ws, with dual lan as well and much cheaper than rog boards or other high end boards. Would be nice to put 4 780s on it :-)

I'm sure 4 will run fine mate. You'll need that Ultimate mobo though;)

I checked the asus z87-ws at few sites with reviews and it have really fast pci setup for sli.
1 x16, 2 x16/16, 3 x 8/16/8, 4 x8/8/8/8. I made sure it sais 4 way sli and not quad sli as well.
So looks like it will run them ok :-)

I had an Inno3D FX5800GT AGP catch fire once; luckily I was there with the side off the case otherwise who knows what could have happened! Heard a pop and then could smell burning and see smoke coming up around the computer desk.

I have always been a bit cautious of Inno3D since then.

IIRC correctly NVidia only do 3 way SLI support for the GTX 780, 4 way was reserved for the Titan and now the GTX 780ti.

As to using four high end cards in a Z87 setup, I don't think this is a good idea as you will probably get bottlenecked by the CPU unless you can get a very high overclock. X79 with a fast 3930k, 3960X or 3970X still seems to be the best option unless you can get a very good 4930k that clocks well.
