It's a 100% useless forum. Even if you're into boats or watersports (which I am) it's so quiet as to be pointless... if I made a thread about wakeboarding no one would see it anyway, even other wakeboarders, because no one ever goes in there.

I'm only at a thousand or so, but I posted about 500 in a week, just by posting all the time, whenever I could. I didn't spam or anything, but you can still be constructive and just post often.

Even ignoring the auctions etc post counts aren't really comparable between users as a measure of how much time is spent posting, because some users post a lot of one-liners whereas others may frequently write walls of text, some do a lot of edits, some may research things before they post etc.

I average about 6 posts per day and have done for years (compared to your ~5ppd); a 5-figure post count isn't that high really for members who've been here since the last nuke.

i gave a load of posts away in an auction years ago, i think i'd be over 10k by now if i hadn't. I'm not a prolific poster these days though, i tend to read more. I've probably visited these forums every day since i registered in 2004 though.

Well a lot of users can gain lots of posts in the twitter thread (Instant and moment). Others and they know who they are, just post nothing but one line answers or comments, pictures, videos, more pictures, more videos and just seem to spam the whole forum and no one says a word.

I got 50,000 of mine in a charity auction. TW Fox is another one with a massive post count.

I'm pretty sure Fox's are all genuine, i.e not won or gifted. He's a great contributor to these boards, in both meanings of the phrase.
