Thinking of getting an iPad, Air or Mini

I'll be nice and sum it up 
Little difference, aside from the obvious iPad Air has longer battery life (both are excellent however, take a look at Anandtech's coverage), display has better colour reproduction (though this is a side-by-side thing, so largely irrelevant). Speakers on the Air are better too (again, side-by-side). However, it really comes down to preferred size rather than anything else.
As Kieran said, there aren't really any other noticeable differences apart from size.

I don't find the screen on the mini to be limiting at all, the quality of it makes up for it.
It depends how you want to use it, if you're going to be using it for web browsing, writing emails etc for long periods of time then get the Air. If your usage is mainly apps and looking at content then the mini will be fine.
