From SimplyGames.

where is practice mode ?. GT5 had it you could pick any track and any of your cars and do laps with no other cars on the track apart from you. That was a mode i used to like in GT5 setting lap times in practice mode etc

Very annoyed that the 'go to next test' option has been removed from the pre start menu. No GT6, I don't mind having to go back through your ****** ******* menus to go to the next ****** ******* licence test when I've won the past 6 races no trouble so I think I have demonstrated how to start and stop a car!!!!!!!!!

Think it's in the Garage as a Free run option, I know I've seen it somewhere.

Wonder if they are gonna stick it one of the 12 days of xmas deals? Nfs rivals is on there today and that is really new too......keeps fingers crossed

How is the game in your opinion guys?
graphic,cars handling,sound??
worth picking up?

I would say you have to be a keen Racer to really get your moneys worth out of GT6 & I've already told most of my mates not to bother. Not because there's owt wrong with the game it's just not for the casual pick up & play type gamer. My mates like NFS series GRID & other easy to pick up & play racers & are not into cars & racing games like I am.
For those that are like me then it's a wet dream in a box with a 39.99 price tag on it or even more if you get the 15th Anniversary edition.

So a fair summary would be to say that some like me will Love it to bits & get untold hours of gaming out of the box but others will switch it on then Off then bin it calling it ****.

GT is part of gaming for me. Had the first one pre ordered for relesse datr years back and iy nearly cost me my gcse's I reckon as was addicted to playing so much lol

For all its faults I love 5 so this is a no brainer for me..I fall into the keen racer category without a doubt

my initial thoughts after playing - ofc have not seen all there is to offer since no way I am close to having completed the game. got IA license so far and up to Goodwood 3rd series (seems getting gold is fairly easy on first try, and I am just an average driver - only one I had to redo several times was the Aston One 77 - that car is a handful - understeers and doesn't brake)

1. Likes

- still stunning graphics, perhaps even better than GT5.

- track list is awesome; hopefully DLC will add some more real world tracks

- removed the used car dealership which was lame to begin with. now you have just dealership and select the cars

- Vision GT - some cool original concept cars you can purchase - al least the Merc for now

- you can mod car and buy parts when you entered a race (don't have to leave race and go through all menus to GT auto)

- no more XP grind or B-Spec nonsense

- seems no more 24hr races - I don't mind 2hr races (even can stretch to a 4hr) but anything above was ridiculous imo

- fewer loading screens

2. Dislikes

- engine car sounds are bad, this was expected; however I didn't expect the tyre squealing sounds to be so annoying

- too many useless cars - ie x amount of Mazda roadsters, Nissan Skylines etc... can't tell the difference between the versions. it's filler and a waste

- seems no more Ferrari F1 :( instead we get a moonbuggy WTF !

- livery editor - basically non existent. still need to collect paint chips to paint cars :(

- coffee break/goodwood/moon events are a complete waste and I wish PD would have used that time to concentrate on quality over quantity

- AI still dire

- not a fan of PD making in-game credits a DLC commodity. makes me think grind or cough up. probably explains why we don't win as many cars for finishing/winning events like we did in GT5

- The T500RS - seems the R1 and R2 do not work in menu - shocking oversight since this is the official GT series wheel. hope this is patched ASAP. Also the "on the fly menu" is no longer there (menu where you could adjust brake balance, TC etc... during race)

I haven't tested seasonal or online racing yet

Can't say if car handling is better since the cars I have raced so far are cars I am not familiar with

Overall I am enjoying the game (except ear piercing tyre sounds) if you liked GT5 then GT6 should be up your alley. I friggin love Bathurst, that track is a blast

Worth setting up a GT6 players thread?

Perhaps we could list all those who have the game.

My Id is D-MVN

Mate I bought whole set for GT5(play seat and G27)
Nfs and Grid, not my cup of tea.
I would definitely pick this up but there is a problem,I won't have place to set seat up for some time(year).
I'm building WC pc and I need cash for parts,so I would sell wheel and seat.
I won't play this on the controller( after experience gameplay on G27)
So could you answer my question again please?
graphic, cars handling (red a lot about weight transition),sound, overall how much better is GT6 compare to GT5?
Is there a moments when you think WOW! I love that,or this is new???

How much are steeringwheels? You can spend £30 or £300 it seems- are the £30 just toys and not really worth it?

Do fairly decent wheels appear on the MM at all? Now that i'm nearly there!

I currently have the thrustmaster t500 RS wheel. Had it well over a year now.

Pricey but a great little piece of kit.

Does it have some kind of shifter?
And does it work on Pc too?
Do lots of games support it natively?

Theyre basically my only requirements apart from 'controlling well' if you know what I mean?
