Upgrading to a 4770k with d14 cooler - which ram?

Hi guys,

I've spent the last 5 hours reading up which ram is best compatible for this cpu / cooler yet I'm still confused as to why some people claim The haswell should be paired with 1.5v ram but not 1.65v, yet I've seen many posts from people claiming to run faster than 2133mhz ram with haswell, which seems to run at 1.65v.

I've a budget of £130, would like 16gb but don't mind 8gb, mostly for gaming.

I'm set to buy a gigabyte g1 sniper motherboard.

I was told to look at ripjawsX yet Ocuk only stock two types both at 1600mhz.

Recommendations please with links :)

Thanks

Theres no reason why you shouldn't get this RAM, get two sets if you ant 16GB.

YOUR BASKET
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
Total : £64.69 (includes shipping : £7.25).

Yes its orange but its fast and cheap, a good make too.

I have the D14 and its a beast of a cooler (i love it), though i did consider getting the K2 aswell (before i relised it wouldn't fit my small case).. It has PWM fans and is normally cheaper than the D14, while performing almost the same.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler £59.99
Total : £69.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Great suggestions :)

Thanks very much.

Got the k2 here with team group Vulcan red 2400mhz ram here. No problems with fit. And 1.65v is fine on ram for haswell.
