Fuming right now. I emailed dell to ask about my delivery date apparently there is an issue with the office configuration on their site and the delays are because of that. I informed them that there was only one office configuration to choose from and they told me yes but its an error and they have to rebook orders and that they have been having a lot of problems with this issue


So a bit of advice to people who have ordered email dell to find out what's going on because the pushed back dates may be because of this issue with the office
 
Sucks, I guess mine still needs rebooking, waiting for a status update myself.

Bitching at them gets a delivery charge discount. Ask for it and you get the £24 removed.

If I ordered one today it would dispatch on Monday.

Have just emailed Dell customer support asking to cancel my order or to give me a £24 refund on the postage charge.

Update my delivery date is 12 dec no mention of a refund on postage worth a try though lol.

Makes you wonder why they didn't fill a few shipping containers full of them and ship them to the UK rather than waste loads of peoples time shipping them from China.

Shipping from China isn't a issue. My ipad came from there, left factory Wednesday arrived Friday morning at my house. It's likely some other issue slowing them down.
 
The Poetic SlimBook Case for Dell Venue 8 on the green forest has dropped £7 in price it's now £12.95 plus £5.99 postage in stock too.

I've just ordered one not bad for total price £18.94 better then £26 anyway.
