Just to clarify a couple of things. Eyedot was not poking Jodie Kidd and Harley was Sequoia and was a total fraud. He was very good at researching before he posted but did slip up occasionally.

Oh and Eyedot is rich and has millions.

Haha. The only interest I get from the bank, is interest from the manager about when I'm going to repay my overdraft.

I just find that the more you earn, the more you spend. No matter what you earn you always tend to live within your means! In my case, it's expensive hobbies but at least I'm happy.

i know a lot of people who have a lot of wealth from investing properties over long term. their properties probably add up to 1.5-5 mil per person.... but thats only because they bought their properties back in 80-90's and now the value shot up... until the point they sold their property and cash out. they still live like you and me, i.e. pretty plain.

Or it could mean (not saying they are) that they are too tight to buy nice things and are so greedy, they are too busy trying to accumulate more wealth

I never understand that mindset......if you are wealthy, then you should live a wealthy lifestyle.

Its not as if you can spend that money when you are dead.

I know quite a few wealthy business owners that live VERY modest lifestyles, but have a very large amount of money.

Isnt Mark Zuckerberg the same? One of the richest men on the planet and rents a modest home, drives a Honda Fit.....facebooks endless pursuit of making money and the owner lives the life of a man worth £30k a year.
