Derek Acorah - Didn't see this coming!

As you're all knowing, perhaps you should make it your personal quest to prove to everyone that such things are fake! ;)

Personally, I realise that there's a lot of fakes out there, but I'm also not stupid enough to completely dismiss the fact that there could be something. Anyone who says that such things are 100% real or 100% are the silly ones.

Personally I am quite happy to completely dismiss anything that has never been proven. No medium has EVER been proven in any scientific test, and many, Derek included, have been proven to be frauds.

I have nothing against mediums, as long as they are open about it all being fake and just for entertainment. Like Derron Brown, He freaks you out a bit then explains how.

I like most haunted, or at least used to. I like ghost stories, I like history and I like being creeped out. I don't like them pretending it is real.

Where is the proof that he is a con artist?

And a medium cannot predict the future.

Oh come on, the guy is full of ****. There are hundreds of examples of well known "psychics" or mediums, or whatever label you give them, getting it completely wrong, such as the lady who drank herself to death in America, at least in part because a psychic told her that her daughter was dead:

Stupid bitch.

Maybe they did? Have another Bell's Derek...hic...

Hahah! :D

Where is the proof that he is a con artist?

Apparently...

Yvette Fielding told Metro reporter, James Ellis that he was asked to leave after Ciarán O'Keeffe, a parapsychologist for the show, fed him misinformation to which he later responded during an investigation, presenting himself as being possessed by the spirit of a fictional character, which led Fielding and the programme makers to question Acorah's credibility. Acorah said he was possessed by the spirit of a man called Kreed Kafer.

In a later interview Ciarán O'Keeffe said that the character was a fabrication he invented, and an anagram of "Derek faker". O'Keeffe had fed this name to Acorah before the programme, and he had repeated it during filming. In a separate interview, the show's presenter and executive producer Yvette Fielding said:

"Unbeknown to us, Ciaran O’Keeffe had suspicions about Derek and decided to plant some information to see if it would be repeated. He left a piece of paper around with the name "Kreed Kafer" on it and said, within earshot of Derek, that he was a nasty South African jailor. When we started filming, Derek decided to get possessed by this fake person. The name is actually an anagram of Derek Faker. We tell people everything is real, then it turns out he was a fake, so he had to go ... I was more angry than anything. I was upset that someone we considered to be close could do that."

There's nothing wrong with it if it gives people peace at mind.

Just like the dodgy tradesman who convinces an old dear to spend £1000 on a new boiler she doesn't need... If he convinces her she needs it and she feels happier as a result, what's the problem?

:D

I recon he missed a trick here.

Had he killed the couple in the impact, he could have used his powers to attain a statement whereby they blamed themselves for the accident and exonerated himself.

This stupid wench at work a few years ago went to see a palm reader. Came into work saying this woman was amazing and she was going to meet the man of her dreams in a few weeks.

She did meet somebody on a night out, married him within a few months, had a kid within a year. Separated just after having the kid, now divorced all within a few years.

Rather than think, she assumed the palm reader was right and could read the future. The idiot deserved it but these con artists should be ashamed of themselves!

Wrong, such garbage can be tested to see if it is true or false and has been scrutinized methodically on countless occasions and been shown to be nothing more theoratiricals by con artists.

They are fake, there is 100% proof of that for all well tested examples.
